Just watched this in my iPad and I've only finished the first idea- but I love the video. 14:32 Exactly! When I started using references that was exactly how I got more talented, just grab a reference and completely copy it *don’t copy other people’s art though* then you will start to understand everything!

Here’s another idea: pull up a random animal generator, and draw that animal from reference. Maybe you do a few with and a few without reference. Have fun!

Hi! for the 1st idea you gave, my 3 colors were neon yellow, cement grey and orange. It reminded me of a construction vest, so I drew a construction girl wearing a vest and helmet holding a hammer.
