Honestly I don't really get those people who get depressed or stop drawing because of other people's comments, because for me I love drawing and I never ask for advice; I just let my art grow as I grow, I don't need advice. If I need advice, I look at references and that's my advice. Even if somebody comments on my drawings if it's bad, I honestly don't care and what I focus on is when I see somebody's art that (in my opinion) looks better than my art, I don't think, "Man, they're so good, I'll never be as good as them," I think, "Man, one day I'll be just as good as them, maybe even better." And the only way to accomplish that is to keep drawing and keep practicing. I know it may be harder for other people as they have different mindsets, but you can train yourself to think differently. I hope those who read this helps and maybe you will pick up your pencil again and keep on going until you are satisfied with the great progress you've made. (I know I may seem a little offensive at the beginning. I promise I didn't mean any rudeness to slip in and I apologize if you thought so!)

I’m also a potterhead, an animal-lover and a dog-person, I also started drawing at 3 years old and particularly and 99% focus on drawing people, I feel like it expresses my creativity and art-style rather than drawing objects or animals, or nature etc. But I’m still only good at drawing things if they’re horror related and also, my drawing style is anime (By the way, I think your art-style is somewhere in between cartoonish and semi-realism, hope that helps.) [I also love your art-style and your handwriting a lot.]

Idk if she’s gonna reply to this but I just wanted to say comparison is the thief of joy and honestly it’s not best to compare ages with art, it can be hard but it’s not great for confidence sometimes. All that matters is how much work you put in!
