Hey, Jennifer! I'm confused with the first question on the quiz because of the difference it has with your other video, "How to use Commas." Here you used a comma after the country in "she lived in Palermo, Sicily, for three years." In the other video you used 2 examples similar to this sentence but didn't use the comma after the country. Examples where: "I lived in Madrid, Spain for nearly a decade." "The conference will be in Paris, France next spring." Why use a comma after the country this time? Thanks! I absolutely adore you!

Hi, this was a great video, but I do have a question. On 5th question ( we are not prepared for it) sounds like a dependent sentence, because it does not tell us what preparation they are talking about and sounds incomplete sentences. please let me know if I am missing something.
@SparkleEnglish2 жыл бұрын
It is still a complete sentence even if you don't know what "it" refers to. For example. "I love it." is a complete sentence even if you don't know what "it" means. "We have a meeting in two hours, and we are not prepared for." = incomplete We have a meeting in two hours, and we are not prepared for IT." = complete Also, in this case, we know that "it" refers to the meeting. We have a meeting in tow hours, and we are not prepared for the meeting.

I think you missed a comma in #7; It should be before the "and".
@SparkleEnglish2 жыл бұрын
We don't use a comma there because there is no subject before "didn't". :)
@youseff10152 жыл бұрын
@@SparkleEnglish oh sorry, I got it now, so It is because the sentence, after "and", is incomplete. Thanks
