This is absolutely amazing, if there's one thing I seriously dislike about it it's the fact you looped it once, which is especially annoying for long tracks (seriously looping like that was only feasible when video game music was like 30 seconds long by now it barely ever makes sense and makes it really hard to put something into a playlist) Anyways with that done I love this version of the Sparkling Star The instruments sound insanely smooth, it gave me a similar feel as Desolo Zantas version (and actually the original too, they are all based on having such sound) A good example is that violin at 1:15, it's extremely pretty. And from my knowlege about music production it can be quite tricky to pull off such violins. And it leads really well to that flute-violin combo. Sadly that gets cut off by that 1:44 violin thingy, which is one of the few instruments that feel kind of out of place in the orchestral setting (same with 2:03 trumpet, to me they just don't feel like they could realistically be in an orchestra and are sort of offputting without being there for that reason). And then there's that 2:30 section. I love such sections that isolate the melody to such an extent to add on top of it, and you pulled it off extremely well. And this section also makes me wanna talk about the editing here because it is just insanely pretty despite the fact you used static images (the shaders for the actual shining void effect are prettier but also hard to do). The video starts off with and edit of the Void innards that just looks realistic, I was at some points fooled it might be your own remodeling of that scene. And that removal of the background at 2:30 is an amazing setpiece, especially when it gets back in that zoom. You made me absolutely love that zoom later on by using it on that cutout version of the background to give it that powerfull effect and then transfer that energy into the menacingly zooming void that genuinely had me stuck in its gaze (that section starts at 3:41 and is some of the best editing I've seen with such simple methods). Back to sound. The synth at 3:08 is an great way to increase the loudness, the synth sounds like something that doesn't belong into an orchestra in the first place so it isn't weird when it goes that loud (and the other instruments used for loudness sound realistically loud too, and the other parts increasing the loudness before and after this synth are amazing) Next I just wanna ramble some about Bass. This track is one of those that made me quite happy to have a good sound system (ok actually I have 3 quite good sound systems, got lucky with that somehow). But the bass just didn't feel as amazing as some other ones (like that of the Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eye soundtrack (DON'T try listening to it if you haven't played outer wilds and its DLC, you wanna go as blind into that experience as possible)). And I really don't know what to point that down on. I listened some around on tracks I felt have good bass but I couldn't find anything (many even seemed to have less actual bass than your track here), the only idea I could come up with is that maybe those tracks are better at timing their bass with other important instruments and musical moments to give them an extra oomph. With that rant over I am gonna sip any detailed thinking on the 3:20-4:20 section because I am getting tired. To cut it short that middle section at 3:30 is amazinlgy implemented and does an amazing job at controlling the atmosphere of the short section before it and the section after it. And the two sections by themselves just sound amazingly much like a powerfull orchestra. So now I can get to my favourite section (and sleeping... or rather listening to subversiveassets new cover story) I've already told you I really like your chiptune and this one blew me a tiny bit away with how good it was, though in the end I still somewhat prefer the synth and orchestral mixing in the original but that just seaks volumnes about Andos Lifelong experience in making video game music. But even if I prefer the original you still did a really amazing job at joining it back with that amazing violin that I feel must've been a great challenge to pull off, as well as with that Piano. About that piano this short section also made me think you actually putt some pedal or string-hitting acoustics in there (pianos have some extremely nuanced sounds they make alongside the basic piano sound, it can be heard in some actual recordings when the composition and recording are able to make it heard (kindred spirits from evangelion 3.0 is a great example) but I think this is just one of those good soundfonts that have a bit of that string-hitting sound that can sometimes be heard (I think it is more noticeable on high notes)) Comparing this with a short listen of your version from 10 months ago you definetly did quite the leap in sounddesign and composition. Am really interested in the direction your music is going.

I am EXTREMELY excited to continue using the cello heard in 1:15 and other such parts for new songs, as well as the cinematic percussion heard in 3:20.

And, I may decide to take some of these criticisms into mind for a soundcloud release. Such as I did with my Star Dream remix. I myself need to sleep now lol

This video caught the two sides of Void in a perfect way through the transitions and the changes in tone and instruments (...and Hope of Birth is one of my favorite songs). Amazing! :D

Wow, this is beautiful! Out of all the fan remixes I've heard, I think this captures the powerful, moody atmosphere of Sparkling Star the best.

I appreciate it! Sometimes looking back on some of these older remixes of mine, I really did a good job, didn't I?

As stated by designing for “The tragedy of void is a Kirby without friends” This song is amazing and just the amount of implications and majesty it projects
