AHHHHHH I FOUND A CONCERT
@savethejam4623 Жыл бұрын
As a fairly recent Sparks fan who has seen them live 3 times now, most recently last week in Wolverhampton, my mind just cant comprehend how this can be 47 years ago and yet they've just wowed Glastonbury and Russell has the same energy and passion, this is the best thing I've seen since, well, since I saw Sparks last week!😂

The Mael brothers have been a big influence on me since 1974 💙 they inspired me to just keep on going.

This is a way better representation of Big Beat era Sparks than the Big Beat album.

I highly regard your view and feedback, but we also greatly appreciate the album and Sparks at their most!

This band can be seen in the 1977 film, Rollercoaster. They portrayed themselves and played a short set in a scene that was shot at Magic Mountain amusement park in California. The band performed the song Big Boy.

They also did Fill 'er Up.

I love this era. I love their resurgence and the high points they have so far into a career, but this rockin' and ridiculous era is my fave.

Cool! I was at this concert. It was sparks and Nektar.

What a bizarre pairing! That was the seventies for you - acid prog with 1970s Berlin cabaret. Long live, eh!?

This is when "Dinky" Diamond is missed. Much. The rest of the Island band too, btw.

Dinky was fantastic but Hilly Boy Michaels hit every skin here, Helped me be a better drummer

That's Sal Maida on bass. I saw this tour at the Bottom Line in NYC & know Sal well.

It does remind me of early Eno. The same idiot glee and joy! Also, I've never seen Ron play a large keyboard before.

Dinky and the boys, sorely missed. Two out of ten compared to an eleven. Just shows you how important the 'circumferential' band is.
