genuinely have no idea what compelled them to make the multi class system rng based. “you wanna experiment with the new system we have in the game ? try again dumbass, should’ve clicked the button with more skill and maybe you’d be happy” do we really need to play test half of the things they put out to see if it’s a good idea or not ? not as if they do much with the “data” they collect from these. this seemed like a pretty slow burning mistake.

you don't need shield mastery, yes it makes the riposte much faster but at the same time you can totally run it without SM and you get a bit longer to throw that first riposte swing back

From about 800 hours of longsword use I have to say at high level play shield mastery is pretty much mandatory imo if you intend to get ripostes off

I'm curious why you think shield mastery is needed for longsword? I feel like I'd rather take barricade over shield mastery. Sure the riposte can come out quickly with shield mastery with that short buff of action speed, but the riposte is already pretty fast. Just curious what your thoughts are on shield mastery!

Good players will space or block your riposte without shield mastery, if you don’t run the perk they have time to do either one, basically wasting your effort
