Last fall I happened across Brian's Easiest Swing videos. I don't recall having such an eye-opening experience. Almost life-changing! I bought the book. I also bought a Hole-In-One (for indoors) and a Swing Caddy (outdoors). (I did have to replace the grips which were way too thin.) During the winter, here in the northern U.S., I use my Hole-In-One every day. I start out by watching all of Brian's videos in which he is playing the different shots. I then do the "La Danse" and then start with 1/4 shots with the Hole-In-One set at 24. Then 1/2 shots. Then full "iron" shots (set at 33) and then "driver" shots. 20 reps for each. Between each set I do the "La Danse." This routine has given me so much confidence, and I can hardly wait for the snow to go away. Fellow golfers, do not pass these training aids by! This is the best money I've ever spent on golf. Sean, thanks to you and Phillip for carrying on Brian's legacy. And both of you impress me as being true gentlemen.

Great to see the channel carry on, I bought this aid from Brian a few months before he passed away, he was a gentleman in the email correspondents even though he probably wasn't 100%. The training aid itself is great, it gives you a feeling that you need to replicate on the course, it trains your brain to feel tempo rather than a rushed swing...

Hey there! The Swing Caddy will probably be more than adequate requiring at least 110mph swing speed to hit the max. The most beneficial training is at much lower swing speed settings around mid way, which for the most part golfers struggle to achieve initially anyway. Can you explain why all easiest swing coaches appear to have very low arms and hands at the top of the back swing? Did it start with Brian?

Great question Thomas. It's a combination of reasons, but heavily influenced by eliminating one of the deadly don'ts - straight lead arm and working towards a tension free swing. Brian certainly influenced this by being a trailblazer in challenging this ingrained belief/misconception.

Does anyone know what the relevance of the second click is, and methods to make the second click heard in the correct location?

The second click is the magnet mechanism resetting. What is most important is that the first click happens after impact, suggesting acceleration through the impact area. The second click should then happen naturally towards the end of the swing.

Hey franzose1967 from Germany, thanks for the question. The best way to decide is where you plan to use the training aids most. Outdoors or large indoor space (3m head room) the Swing Caddy is a great choice. It also has aextra flexible shaft which aids rhythm. The Hole In One can be thought of as a SC Mini, its much shorter in length and has a more rigid graphite shaft. This is perfect for most indoor situations and can even be packed in a suitcase if travelling. We sell both of these from our Amazon store Easiest Golf Swing Aids you can find links on our website easiestswing.com and they will deliver to you in Germany. We don't sell the Swing Pro, simply because we find most golfers are unable to achieve the max setting on the standard versions and for best practice it is better on a lower setting anyway.

Extra flexbile shaft could help with the decision, because I had the opportunity to try the LagShot and the GForce and I liked the GForce very much. @@Easiestswing

They both achieve the same desired goal of improving rhythm and the effectiveness of your wrists and hands in the golf swing. If you enjoyed the flexible shaft of the lagshot then you will likely enjoy the Swing Caddy in this case.

would you say this training aid would work in a self defense situation?

I bought the ‘Hole in One’ from you lovely souls a couple of months back. It won’t work if you don’t use it… however use it daily for even 5 mins when you are watching the tv or just fancy a stretch it really has been a revelation. As stated don’t get too hung up on the resistance numbers (aka club head speed) as I really don’t think they are calibrated well which is my only criticism. However its a moot point. Keep it on a nice easy setting (no more than mid 50s top) as it is there to help you find a lovely relaxed swing. That said if you guys get the chance to chat with the manufacturers then I would pass on the comment about the calibration. That aside a quality product that will last me the rest of my years.

Great to hear you are finding the kind of progress we expect from using your Hole In One regularly. You describe the perfect way to use the training aid, the resistance numbers are less important than the timing and feel you receive from getting the click just beyond impact. We have given the same feedback to the manufacturers as you raise, we tend to ignore the settings and go for what feels right. As you state it is an excellent, high quality product that will last and last!

Have a swing caddy . Is there eay to recalibrate ot. I can not get it to click at 55 mph soeeds. The lower speeds sre fine.

Apparently you should wind it to each end and then give it a sharp bump on the ground (grip end down) at each end setting then try again. After that see if you can get someone you know with a very powerful swing and see if they can get it to click beyond the 55 if not suggest you return it if it is still in warranty (1 year) come back to us via the email on our website if none of the above works.

Thank you for sharing this with us Scott! It is a fantastic story and as you rightly point out, perfectly aligned with the Easiest Swing philosophy. Brian would coach doing La Danse du Golf before a putt, he was convinced that movement, not stillness was key to great putting. Séan also coaches this to his students. It is after all, as Ben Crenshaw says "a small swing".
