Letná Stadium is the home of Sparta football and its fans. And it is here that we will take you with the camera in this episode of the Live Prague series. And we'll show you the places where the average fan can't get to!
What can you look forward to? For example:
- the backstage area where press conferences are held, but also where all the trophies won by Sparta football are displayed;
- the changing rooms, where the players not only prepare for the game itself, but also where the coaches discuss tactics with them;
- the skybox, which is familiar to fans from the media, because it is where the new players take pictures with Sparta's sporting director Tomáš Rosický when they sign their contracts;
- the press lounge, where all the reporters and commentators sit during matches;
- and, of course, the fans' area, where football enthusiasts cheer loudly for their club.
AC Sparta Prague has been playing at Letná since 1917, and the current form of its "sanctuary" was acquired in 1994. It can accommodate over 18,000 spectators (before the reconstruction it was even 35,000). After all, the fans of this club are often referred to as the twelfth Sparta player - thanks to the undying support with which they not only drive their team to victory, but also stand by them even when the footballers are not doing well.
