I will never forget that show,never. It is fantastic,the second guy who did Spartacus was well chosen,the two have similarities and both did a great job. Everyone in that show played super well. I can't believe some of the ages they were back then! Crazy! With all the amazing that there is to see, no season will ever beat my love of season 1 with Andy. I loved him so much. Couldn't have said it better myself such a mess of tragedy and blissful entwinement and all the trappings of harsh and repugnant but interspersed with such a hope even though it was brutal it was at least ten times that beautiful and creative work of art that fills the senses and we lived it because of Andy Whitfield. The almost love or admiration from Batiatus and then the heighth of betrayal from multiple levels I even had found myself rooting for Batiatus and Lucretia to rise to their lofty aspirations and the way people tried to piss down Batiatus neck and all horse shit that he had been saddled with and the revenge Batiatus struck and striken by the same people who made a mockery of him or tried out manuevering.him the same way that they would fall by such a man of status and history within the city capua There are so many things I love about the whole bit I wish more people were aware of the masterpiece the series was it was a vivid interpretation of this real life figure that even though we don't have hardly any of the details of Spartacus life and death other than the years of the third servile uprising and where him and his legions. We're and the havok that they rocked into the Romans pompous arrogance psyche I would give anything to be able to acquire some thing of record of the details of life but a book or what if we could go back in time and video tape stuff that happened thousands of years past. What a window to look through that would be I'm damn near certain that the past looks different in our minds how it would if we had a video tape of like say the see John rum back in when he died in the year 71 BC and you're strongoli Italia

I started to watch Spartacus because of the story. I am not someone who appreciates watching gore things or explicit sexual scenes, so that is not what drew me into that series. I usually "fastforwarded" those scenes. But I acknowledge it showed a reality of that time and the actors did a very good job, including shaving their private parts, like the Romans used to do ! I really liked the "300" vibe of the show and the romantic side of Spartacus (esp in season 1). And since I read a biography about him, I think the series was quite faithful to the reality. Spartacus really was my favourite character all along. I liked Crixus too, especially after he fell in love with Naevia. I only knew the actors John Hannah, Lucy Lawless (which I appreciated to see in unsympathetic roles) and Peter Mensah but I discovered many other talented actors. And all of them have aged very well !

@Abraham Sanchez if a good tv show company picked it up then we'd have a good run of Spartacus, and the good thing about it is that we have many actors that would fit the role so perfectly, am thinking of Travis Fimmel from Vikings👌

Judging by what I have seen the new generation couldn't handle this show. Canceling everything from cartoon characters to syrup, a pg version of this show wouldn't be any good. I am just glad to be around when this awesome show was made.

@@dF-sy7ch That is very true, this show just didn't give a shit about people's feelings, a lot of controversial topics by today's standards slipped by unbothered by the public (Agron and Duro's hairstyle in S1, one example). Even the mention of the word "cock" every 15 mins would make them rant on twitter.

Season 8 GOT ruined everything first 4 masterpiece seasons provided . First season of Spartacus with Andy was best and nothing comes close.
