My son and I were there. This was the hardest race we ever done. But we completed it and got out 1st Trifecta. Thanks for a great video.

Thank you once again for an awesome video. You didn't mention the yellow jacket obstacles.....millions of yellow jackets all over the course. I don't think I heard anyone say that didn't get stung on Saturday....got it in the elbow myself and it's still swollen 😁. If you still have any of the video, may I suggest a follow up showing the tough uphill sand downhills though you captured one. That second sandbag carry on the side of the dam was steep as was the bucket carry in normal Spartan fashion. The one with the ropes in the ravine was rough, not only climbing out but also getting down was harder in my opinion. Congrats on another Trifecta...this was #3 for me this year.

Yellow jackets were obstacle #0.5 after first 100 yards. Didn't realize I'd been stung until others started screaming, then I put 2+2 together! Good times. This was the hardest of my 8 Beasts, although I've never done Palmerton or Killington. Congrats to all who gave it their all

@@KevinDonlin yes it’s hard but I think Cincinnati was more difficult. More elevation and steeper longer hills. Congratulations on your 8th Beast. That was #6 for me and # 3 this season.

It is my pleasure! I actually didn't deal with any yellow jackets. I think around mile 2 some guys in front of me warned me but I didn't see them. I did here a lot of people talking about them after the race too. I'll probably post a video later on about the second sandbag carry as well as the bucket carry. Those were the toughest of each that I've done this year. Congrats on your 3rd trifecta!

@@KevinDonlin Congrats on your race! I also haven't done either of those races. I'd say Cincinnati beast last year was the hardest one for me.

I'm one of the lucky ones who actually didn't get stung by the yellow jackets at this very race! I was totally expecting it, and a crossed a lot of paths filled with them. Some members of my group totally got stung. I don't know how I managed to avoid it but I'm sure my luck has run out now if I ever go back! 😂

That was an awesome Beast this year! I loved every minute of it! This was my first year doing the WV Beast. I've only ever done Killington. I have to say that I really enjoyed this one much, much better than Killington. After 3 years in a row, Killington is just too much pain and misery to be enjoyable anymore-especially that Death March. I'm all done with the Killington Beast. The West Virginia Beast on the other hand, was a TON OF FUN. I had such a great time, met new friends, and absolutely loved the venue! If it weren't for the darn 18-hour drive to get there, the WV Beast would be my new favorite annual Beast! I really wish I lived much closer to it. Next year, I'm FLYING to North Carolina for the Ultrafecta weekend there. Going to attempt the Ultra, and then the Super and Sprint the next day. But in the coming years, I'm going to look for new Beasts to try such as the Dallas Beast. Maybe someday, I'll fly down to WV to do the Beast there again with my new friends who came from Nashville this year! Thanks for the video! I really enjoyed reliving this wonderful race in the most beautiful venue imaginable! AROO!

I definitely do enjoy the WV venue too. Congrats on the Killington accomplishments! I haven't attempted that race yet, but I definitely will one day. Good luck to you in your future races! I'm thinking I'm going to try my first Ultrafecta in Fayetteville next year too. It is my pleasure and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
