I remember playing the first level for hours. Never did want to proceed with the other levels. There were lesser amd lesser blues. I think my kid brain was afraid of the unkown. I do remember the next level though! Really neat stuff with the mass petrifications.

It’s annoying because Koei’s games are much better at being strategy games with better diplomacy option than Total War while Total War went hard on the frills rather than focusing on government types, diplomacy, economy with Rome 2. I wish they would just merge Sega should acquire or merge with Koei Tecmo and put the Koei team with CA.

I loved this game. I like games like this were you fight along side allies, fighting a powerful empire. I always feel attached to assist them in battle. Viking Battle for Asgard was another good game, were you gather the viking clans for a massive assault on enemy fortresses. Anyone else think CA should try another hack and slash game?

Yeah, that city liberation mission at night, when you rescue civilians throughout the town and then fight together in one final push! I actually replayed that mission continuously and counted surviving soldiers at the end, turns out, game actually keeps track of all your allies through the mission and the more you save the more will come to help in battle. So I just replayed time and again to beat my best ''score'' of surviving allies, and kept on recounting them after final fight every time)
