I can't tell you how many times I was like "awwww WOW" during this video. Love him unrolling the mat, can guinea pigs do yoga? It looks like he already does most sports! I love how Ace managed to make a sneaky appearance climbing on your arm, such a little camera hogger! Flipping the pages of the book is such a good idea and he is so good at it! This video is such a great example of how patience and positive training can mean even an individual who is naturally more shy can show so much confidence and enjoyment, he didn't look at all bothered by you moving around above you, such a beautiful relationship

+Positive Ferrets ha, I haven't tried yoga with him yet lol. ;) Ace is definitely the biggest attention hog ever though lol. He loves to be the center of attention at all times haha.

It's amazing how many tricks Ceico has learned! He reminds us so much of Peanut, who was more of a shy piggie as well. :) We're looking forward to seeing more footage of Ceico and your other animals!

+PeanutGuineaPig Haha yes, he's my sweet innocent one, and Ace is the troublemaker. Wouldn't be complete without one of each though, lol. :P I never posted much about Ceico when I had Spartan, but he was still learning tricks every day too. :) Everything was a bit of a slower process for him versus Spartan and Ace though. :P He is smart, but shows most of his intelligence outside of tricks. He does pick up on little things that the other piggies never seemed to notice. :P

+Barb Mattes Ceico isn't too fond of clickers lol. Mostly I just use luring with food. :) Shaping and capturing too for some things. Whatever works for him with whatever trick we're working on basically. :) I don't think it's really that different than with dogs, piggies just take some time initially to trust you and get over their skittishness. :)

+Shadow The Rat haha, yes, Ceico loves the weave poles. :) They're actually plastic jello containers (basically just plastic cups that are open on both ends). They work great for weave poles because you can arrange them how you want, and stack them together easily when you're done with them. :)

+구엔신시아 Lol I hear you. :P It's a never ending work in progress! ;) Mine have been improving on that a bit. Ace is nearly 100% accurate when he's in a small area. Ceico's..... getting there lol. :P Try giving them a little treat whenever they hop into their box (even if they don't do anything). Forming the habit of going in there definitely increases your chances! :)

My son's guinea pig passed away prematurely in April 😓 I miss our sweet Rocket Coupon so much 😭 I had no idea anything was wrong with her until it was too late. I don't know if I'll ever get another because while I love seeing them...i don't think i could ever get another because I'd feel like I was replacing Rocket in a way & that makes me feel so guilty, plus I'm terrified the same thing would happen again 😵😔 Thanks for sharing your piggies. ❤️

Sure, guinea pigs can do tricks at any age. You might just want to avoid jumping and stuff like that if they have any mobility problems, but other than that, you're good! :)

Only maybe 10 minutes of training, and maybe another 10-20 minutes just hanging out with them. They are out of the cage all the time though (free roaming in one room) so I often interact with them briefly throughout the day. :)

It depends on the guinea pig, some take more time than others. I would just try to offer veggies from your hand and try to get him out of the cage as much as you can. Hope he comes around soon! :)

Spartan's Tricks he comes out of the cage and also I do hand feeding....but all he does is take food from my hand hide under the couch ...and again repeat when he needs food...I haven't even touched him since the purchas date...😫😫😭😭😢

I would try something that he can't grab and run away with (for example, a leaf of lettuce) then hold the lettuce so he has to stay near you or keep coming back to get one small bite at a time.
