when i was a kid my brother bought me a guinea pig and i tamed mickey we became best friends and she followed me wherever i went we took long walks outside and she became a member of my friends we took her everywhere even in a cage on a bike those animals are great interesting and intelligent creatures she died when i was 14 and i will never forget my childhood buddy

Dogs 246 OMG SAME! My female guinea pigs are smart because they can find their way back to their cage through 2 rooms but when I put them on the floor that’s all they seem to do and it’s hard to get their attention or sometimes they just don’t even move 😭😭

my guinea defently trusts me. story time. i got him from my aunts friend that didnt want him. he was very small so he was probably very young. he was scared all the time and was only fed pebbles and had this old blanket in his cage insted of bedding. he was always scared and i finally caught him and picked him up. he was kicking alot but i managed it. me and my cousin shared him so she wanted to hold him too, he didnt make a sound. we put him on the bed as he has peed on the bed and started screeching like he was gonna be hit. we calmed him down and just like that the next day it was time to go home to our houses. i brought him home and the next day we gave his cage a good clean. we cleaned and washed it out abt 8 times and added bedding and threw the blanket away. we gave him hay, guinea salad, and pellets. we put toys in his cage and his bottle. a couple of days later he was already very happy. day by day we have bonded. and now today he is a very clingy loving sweet boy. and thats how i changed a guinea pigs life :)

I would do this, but I have two Guinea pigs that run around and love to explore. I would only get one out, but they are very loving towards each other and if one is out of their cage, the other will freeze like its being hunted or squeal until they are let out. Haha, great video

Great job! This is certainly an adorable trick, and something that Ace seems to do naturally. When I was training my rats to weave walk, the ones not being trained would often follow me in hopes of a treat. It was pretty hilarious for sure! (I bet you could train Ace to "heel" like a dog using this method! I might just have to try and train my rats to walk at heel. That'd be a pretty funny sight! 😝)

Yes, he did take to it pretty easily. Ace isn't really scared of anything haha. Pretty brave little pig. :) It took Ceico much longer to resist bolting whenever I stood up anywhere near him. ;P They also like to make sure I notice them whenever I have food. I can't even work with one of them when the other is loose in the room lol. The one I'm not training has to wait (somewhat impatiently lol) behind a fence for their turn. :P I've been thinking about teaching Ace some heeling and obedience stuff. Maybe an "around finish" and retrieval over a bar jump too. I'm sure I could make some kind of mini dumbbell for him. :P
