I live with Spastic Diplegia CP, This video is a great way to explain the sort of conditions I live with on a daily basis. Fortunately I have a mild case and no seizures. Even someone like me, who has lived with it all my life, has a lot to learn. Though, I noticed a few people in the comments asking about asking about a video on exercises and I would be happy to demonstrate a few, for a future video if you like. Also, this is for folks in the USA, if you have a child with CP, hip dysplasia, or similar conditions, reach out to your local Shriner associated with Shriner's hospital for children. They are wonderful people and if it wasn't for them I would have received the care I needed and it was all because a Shriner sponsored me. Even my wife, who was born with hip dysplasia was sponsored and even went to the same hospital. They paid and performed her surgery. For everyone, else support your local Shriners and Chldrens Hospitals by donating to them. (Apologies if i sound like I am selling something. The Shriners have done a lot for me and I just want to help them and other people out)

Thank you for the good overview of the condition! I was just diagnosed yesterday and I have a lot to learn. My case is mild and I am surprised by the idea that I may have some kind of brain damage.

i have spastic diplegia too but i’ve been diagnosed since i was three and i’ve tried pretty much every stretching device and physio stretch known to man lmao so i’m here if you need advice or anything ✌️

I was diagnosed with this a young age and it affected me as child because of the bullying that happen about it, I got surgery when I was 9 and I’m just getting better balance now and just trying to learn how to ride a bike

This is what I think I have but I don’t have non of these symptoms except for the leg part in muscle part she mentioned i think mines is on the lower risks of this condition because most of the symptoms and conditions she mentioned I literally don’t have……i am mostly independent with little help here and there but nothing major i am great full to do most things on my own

Hello, I am 27 and was finally just diagnosed with spastic diplegia! I have walked on my toes since childhood, and I never had a noticeable scissor gait. That may have been part of why nobody diagnosed it sooner.

No diplegia is symmetrical paralysis
