Ah! I had wondered where the art style came from, it was quite the divergence from your past content. Using Eevee instead of Cycles makes perfect sense now; love that its inspiration comes from an actual Simpsons episode. Top notch execution, matches the original style flawlessly!

Awesome, awesome work. I’m kinda new to blender but I’ve been studying it for three months now. I’d like to ask: how did you approach the rigging in this? All the rigging tutorials I’ve seen were more for organic characters (so the bones may influence other parts of the mesh), but with LEGO minifigs, if one bone is moved, only the corresponding piece will move. Is there a fast and efficient way to do this? I’ve modeled and rigged several Bionicle characters, but through tedious ways (linking vertex groups to the corresponding bone). Again, I’m speechless at how good this turned out! The inclusion of ToonBoom was very inspiring.

Fastest way for that kind of rig is have each limb a separate model. Then skin each piece to a single bone. That way each piece is skin weighted to be solid.
