How I Convinced My Indian Parents

For me my parents have said it to me that as long as I trust the person and got our stuff together, they don’t really care which type of girl I’ll marry. For people out there, that are in interracial relationships just send it and tell your parents the truth, the worse they gonna say is no or will just accept the other person, just send it and hope for the best, if they say no than try to convince them, that it’s your life and you gonna live with that person for the rest of your life, and like Suketu said bring your girlfriend/boyfriend to the family get together and see how they react and how they get along, maybe they will accept it. The more you hide it from your parents the more your parents are gonna be against it. Just tell your parents that you are hanging out with this person and you see yourself in a relationship and would love to invite him/her to your family get together and see what happens. A great video man! My issue is they know that she is my girlfriend and my mom is a little bit more accepting than my dad and the rest of the family, so I’m stuck at a crossroads because I just want everyone to mingle and get along with no issues.

Oh man that is a tough one - It is great that your mom is on your side and came be your support person. Try and include her in family events and they will see how great she is and over time they will understand why you are with such a great person (rather than judging something she can't change) THANK YOU FOR THE COMMENT!

@@smithpatel2622 I see, the best thing you can do in that situation is bring up the idea of her and talk about her and see what they say ( might not be the best reaction ) it’s going to be uncomfortable but a good way to start - have her over after that and introduce as a friend and maybe those could be the first steps?
