The name MM Ground (Miro Meta Ground) refers to a playground in a metaverse (virtual space) hosted by the Miro Center. Through this camp, participants encounter the rapidly developing technology environment and have the opportunity to relate to, learn about, and experiment with the new digital art ecosystem that continues to evolve. The camp’s program consists of online and offline components, and participants are able to naturally experience the metaverse space and environment as they actively utilize open platforms and technologies and create interactive elements themselves.
The playground’s central space consists of Voxels which are based on commonly used metaverse open platforms. Forms of play run the game from “A” to “Z,” and anyone can participate.
Voxels, an Ethereum blockchain-based platform created by New Zealand-based Nolan Consulting, contrasts with other metaverse spaces in the way it allows access, space creation, and trading via web browsers. Participants can share their spaces with others by URL, and since only Ethereum transactions are accepted, no separate token purchase is required. Various event functions also allow for easy communication with participating users.
MM Ground is working to create a new digital ecosystem that changes with technological evolution, adopting representative Web3 approaches such as blockchain, NFT, DAO (Decentralized Organization), and Discord, which exemplify decentralized formats beyond established realms. It looks forward to increasing the availability of new experiences as people come together and communicate in this space.
