The closest part of land is actually 780 blocks away (TESTED WITH SEEDMAP) so you could definitely survive but it might be a challenge with hunger!

If survival is the only objective then this is quite simple actually. Take wood from shipwreck, make pickaxe, mine some stone, make furnace, manage your wood to burn 9 kelp (you'll probably get coal from shipwreck loot as well), make kelp block, and now you have fully renewable energy, Hunt fish and cook them for food sources, or make platform if you want. You don't need to worry that much about combat since your only enemies are the Drowned which you can avoid by not touching any form of water and you can easily block phantoms by placing a block above your Head. That's basically to it and just survive until you bored of living lmao.

I discovered this seed back on Xbox 360 days and there used to be only one island big enough and in that seed there was only one tree so it made it perfect for doing a survival island. Best part about it was there was a mineshaft under that island. It was the best seed generation for playing with my friends during that time

You could get saplings from a shipwreck chest, dirt from random patches, and make a tree farm on the surface to make more wood. Then build out and make a mob farm for spiders to get a fishing rod and maybe a bed, you have a chance to hook up a mending rod for infinite fishing loot. Iron from zombie drops and shipwrecks. Golden apples from shipwreck loot and trees, cure a zombie villager, villagers. Infinite wood, check. Infinite food, check. A bed, check. Iron, check.

I love ocean only worlds. Unfortunately they don't spawn correctly anymore. It spawns full land with all the shipwreck and ruins on land. It is cool though. I had to go back to 1.16.2 for it spawn ocean only.

Aside from the subnautica refferences, this seed wouldn't be that difficult to survive. Swim to the shipwreck. Hopefully with some string from the chest and wood from the ship you can make yourself a fishing rod. Otherwise, kill them yourself. Food is there. Make yourself a boat and in the meantime gather some fish to eat. With this boat you can search for land. If you want to stay onto the shipwreck, you can always mine beneath the sea.

I once spawned in a world with no land nearby, used a shipwreck to start my base, found a modded sunken village as a source for more wood, then eventually found a lush cave, and then just made a room for crowing Azalea trees.

The trick to surviving this is to find the point where the land is closest to the water, mine sand/gravel around it as much as you can without drowning, then build a pillar out of the water, surround the sides until you have a + symbol sticking out of the water. (It has to go down to the sea floor and be ABOVE the water, this is important.) and then you can do something that is considered risky, mining straight down to reach underneath the sea floor for resources. Yes it's dangerous, but if you collect enough sand you can get back out of the mineshaft. Given you likely won't have a bed for some time, it will also keep you safe at night from the phantoms that spawn from lack of a bed, if you make sure to mine down deep enough, you can possibly tunnel to a location with viable land. Yes it's tedious.

1.Dive down grab dirt and build ur self a tower up to the surface and extend it to a plattform with walls where u are safe when needed. 2. Kill fish for food and gentle ask drowned zombie for there fishingrods. 3. Spend ur live fishing for wood tools planks and armor. 4. Build a way down (with or without water inside but ad some breathing spots) Travel under ground grab ores and hope to find a mining shaft or a lush biom. U now have all normal recources u need so enjoy your time.

Wood can be found on shipwrecks. Stone can be mined although admittedly not easily. Once you have a furnace you start making dried kelp which not only works as food but as fuel too. Oh and there are also fish to feed on. Added bonus of shipwreck: the buried treasure map will lead you to a shore if you make a boat and seek out the x

Indefinitely, fish are a good source of food, and getting around is really fast once you get a boat. Also, you can still readily dig for materials. Things like saplings can still be found in chest or some other manner.
