As someone who has roughly 80, who is to say backwards compatibility will be cartridge based? For all we know, the cartridge could be a different size altogether (or a different medium of physical). This could very well be a PSP to PS VITA type of deal in terms of playing backwards compatible games.

On EFT I always knew something like this would have to happen. They have literally been living off of banning hackers and having them buy the game again and making sure not to do it often enough so the hackers give up. They didn't put any of the big money they made early into the game and all we ever got were little updates and never got a smooth experience. The game was mismanaged from the start. I always said, if they ever do release the game in full they would have to put seasons in or sell an entire new edition because they had no way to make money whatsoever aside from hackers buying the game again.

17:52 Jon's experience with Batman Forever was similar to my experience with Sonic 3 in Carnival Night Zone, as a kid I could never figure out how to get past that barrel platform and was stuck for weeks trying to bounce on it to make it go low enough, I even made sure to reach it with a bubble shield one time to spam bounce on it with no luck.. Then my older sister who isn't interested in video games at all decided to give it a try, I remember thinking "good luck figuring it out" and as she reached that part she did it right away I was like "how'd you do that?" as it turns out you just have to hold up and down on the platform to move it.

They don't even have a standard online messenger system (even for people on your 'Friend List'. No way they will ever implement voice chat. Not that they couldn't. If they're worried about perception from parents worried about their kids getting cussed out by other kids online, they could easily implement restrictions that parents can set. But no.... Nintendo too lazy. They know adding voice chat or even messenger system will not have an effect on sales from people who will buy anything Nintendo releases anyway. And even if they thought it could get them more sales, they still won't do it.

The last time I used single joycon mode besodes games that require it was when I had only 2 sets of joycons and that was back in 2018. After you get 3 sets and a pro controller its not needed. Still it was genius of Nintendo to do that. I remember playing Mario Kart 8 deluxe with single joycons and still had a blast.

Speaking of not knowing what to do in a game when you're a kid, I got stuck in Banjo Kazooie for months because I couldn't find the entrance to Click Clock Wood or whatever it was called. I think Nintendo would make the right decision going 1080p since the introduction of 4k to the gaming we've seen extremely long development times for games and all that just for bit more detail, one of the best looking games (especially for the beginning) on ps4 was the order, the game was still bad and i wouldn't play it again because of the pretty picture

Not sure if it's the picture resolution that is the primary factor in longer development times.... Resolution and framerate are primarily factors of the hardware's horsepower more than anything else. Obviously optimization comes into play as well, but that's always been the case.

As someone that has had a switch, since launch. Has 3 switches, switch light. Split joycon was something we only ever use for Mario kart with wheels. However, the joycon turning into a gamepad has been vital to the system. Sure, I still grabbed a couple pro controllers to aim in shooters, but everything else is completely enjoyable with the joycons turned into a gamepad. I actually prefer the buttons over d-pad due to a single game:Tetris. No accidental piece drops from the 4 buttons, but on the d-pad, they drop accidentally, all the time.

It would be awesome if that extra button on the "Switch 2" was used for a quick or instant toggle between the various graphics and performance modes for the games that support them. This way you don't have to stop the game and navigate through menus to do it or not have to restart the game. You can walk around an open world and take in the scenery and when the big battle starts and things slow down, press the button and start slashing or shooting away.

I know what the function is for the new added button. It allows you to change what you view on the Switch 2 while in handheld mode to the TV via the dock. Now we have two screens for DS and 3ds NSO games. Once Zelda The Wind Waker comes to the system we can play it like the Wii U gods intended!😊

I had the exact same thing happen in Batman Forever. Rented it for the weekend and could not figure out how to progress. I was so disappointed. Felt like I wasted a weekend. What’s worse is I used my chores money to rent the game.

Escape From Tarkov has been running since 2016 and when BattleState Games needed funding they created the support editions. There was the plain old basic account and the support editions worked like Kickstarter tiers, so the support editions got increasingly more expensive but also with more benefits (arguably, P2W). All the way up to the biggest tier, the Edge of Darkness edition, which as an extra perk was meant to include all the future DLC and content ever released to this game. And so they confirmed several other times in the future This wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't because this game has been in development hell for quite a while now, they don't know when it will be finished nor does the community and to encourage people to buy the EoD edition, they announced the EoD edition was going to disappear when they felt the game was closing in to a 1.0 release. And so they did. Back in January of this year they removed the EoD edition. Of course, no one expected BSG to get rid of their biggest edition to only make an even bigger and more expensive one (and with even more P2W benefits or Pay to Progress Faster, depending on who you ask). The game is fun but it also has many issues, which I can forgive because it is very complex. But right now I feel let down by BSG. I started playing this game back in 2020 or 2021, and I upgraded to the EoD edition (at a discount) a few months after starting with EFT because there is an insane amount of grind required to progress in this game. I felt like it was a good deal, considering the amount of time I had already put in this game back then, and that I would still play it in the future. Had I known that was not going to be the definitive edition, I probably wouldn't have bought it. I don't feel like an idiot or anything but I don't like being lied to either

When I rented Batman Forever, I was lucky enough to get a manual with mine. I didn't get stuck using the grappling hook. I did get stuck a few minutes later however, unable to drop through the floor. On snes, you have to hold down and tap L and R simultaneously. That was not in the manual.

They should do a full remake, NOT a remaster of Fallout 1 & 2, but in the graphic style of the current Diablo games. There's clearly a market for that top down style. Maybe even just merge Fallout 1 & 2 into a single game with a huge map and a story-progression in the style of Diablo or The Witcher games with Chapters that unlock different portions of the map. . Diablo 3 is still one of my favorite games of all time, and it would be interesting to see a futuristic post-apocalyptic version of that kinda game.

Some people here skeptical about the dock supporting 4K out part of the Switch 2 leak but I'd fully expect it to be 4K out capable even if not a single game actually runs at 4K for media apps if nothing else. A Switch 2 with 4K Out could be a viable streaming device while the current Switch doesn't even try.

Would love for MS to let Obsidian do the next Fallout. Obsidian is working on a lot but maybe with Avowed being almost done now they can put Outer Worlds 2 on hold and do Fallout instead.

I’ve always said that backwards compatibility was always more likely with Switch 2 which makes sense considering Nintendo themselves said a while back that current Nintendo accounts will be transferred over to the new console and from what we’ve been hearing, Switch 2’s backwards compatibility is all but confirmed now.

Because Starfield.....Bugthesda has been just a bit busy working on other things between Deathloop, Redfall, Starfield, ESO expansions, Fallout 76 expansions etc. kinda hard to just drop everything and somehow write a new Fallout game. They've not just been sitting around doing nothing.

For Batman Forever Actually you press select and up for the grappling hook but I will say there was a part where you needed to drop down a trap door and it was L plus down and I couldn't figure that out for the life of me.

As a Bethesda Fallout fan, they should give Obsidian for a spinoff. Preferably a non American location. The very least a new region with new factions. Like the great lakes region, Florida, Saskatchewan, or Alberta.
