Bradley Blanton you and I obviously share a great admiration for Stephen Hudson's vocals. I've been trying to think of who he reminds me of. Best I can come up with is Dan Tyminski. When you here either one you just know they were both born to sing bluegrass. Both have that bluegrass drive, as you've described it. Love to hear both of them sing.

Well I'm flattered, but if you're planning to start learning, I also recommend taking lessons. It's the fastest way to make sure you're on the right track and not learning bad habits on your own. I took lessons from Mr. Jim VanCleve about 4 years ago and spent as much time UNlearning bad habits as I did learning good ones. I'll check with Jim and see if he's still offering Skype lessons.

@@krogge10 hey Kevin, I still haven't heard back from Jim, but I would recommend trying to get in touch with him directly via Facebook or see if there's someone else you're interested in learning from and reaching out to them. For $60-80/hr you can get direct Skype lessons from just about anyone.
