1. The CAE is showing up on the watch light because it’s an older version of the Midland WR-300. On the older versions, Child Abduction Emergencies will make the radio go off with the watch light and tone. 2. It’s a self activation, in case you didn’t know. That’s why the tones sound like it’s from AM/FM. I hope this solves your confusion.

Some WR-300 have custom alerts features. I set my WR-300 to go off with the Advisory Tone for RWTs.

sadly, no. however i do know that the first alert wx-268 activate for am/fm alerts

This was done through self activation. Hence why it's on Channel 2.

Read the description. The alert was real, he just put a VPR NEWS stream on his Apple device so the WR300 could activate, since most weather radios are built to go off for alerts only from the WX band, and not the AM/FM.
