Haha such a rad build, nice to see it come together properly the first time! It'll be nice to know the engine/ chassis is sorted before you add the boost! I debated putting a F22c in my s14 drift car about 2 years ago before the 2JZ, did a test fit and didnt really wanna mess with the whole oil pump/ oil pan issue, but now you guys are giving me bad ideas again!

Thanks! We also considered the F22 first for this swap but the price of those motors is just too high to justify these days, hence why we ended up with the K. So we'd go Kswap in the 240 all day long :)

if you're at 203whp and 2700-2800lbs you are right in s2000 territory minus the gearing, but awesome build

Amazing how consistent and well built these engines are from the factory.. Yours made almost the exact power mine did though completely didn’t mods 🤔. Agree on 4cyl’s not being the best sounding until you hear a k or s engine in N.A. form. Can’t wait to see it on the track! Curious to see how it will stack up against the S, Please have a track battle!

Great video as always guys, keep it up! I would maybe suggest supercharging the 240SX. The turbo is an obvious choice, supercharging suits the K motors well and is another different choice... Not a criticism, just a thought....

The ZF boxes does make alot of sound when they are behind swaped engines. Buddy of mine has a s14 sr20det and a ZF box, It rattles and makes all kind of noises. But it have never failed and he is banging gears like a bear!

Im a die hard SR20 guy and would have loved to have seen a VE head with an SR bottom end with a 6spd from a 350z or 370Z. But this is a very cool swap idea on a budget and lets see how she does with boost!!!

Moe Green it's a 2700lb car. 200whp in that light of a chassis is fairly quick for a stock engine. If they opened it up with some breather mods and injectors, they could squeeze out another 50hp and straighten up the powerband.

I understand the K motor has some great potential, but if you plan to boost it I think just rebuilding the SR20 would have been the cheaper way to go. Also the SR20 already went into the chassis so it was a factory engineered solution instead of the rigged setup that this K24 will ultimately always be. Anyhow your car. Hopefully it works out and at the end of it you're happy with the outcome.

You need to Ktuned dipstick to finish it off. It will look nice and flush. The orange dip stick looks a lil out of place in the engine bay.
