Sebastian Rich is a British photographer and videographer with a rare talent. For over 40 years, he covered the world’s most brutal wars. What set his work apart was his ability to capture not only the reality of combat but also the humanity and resilience of those impacted by war. Today, he brings his remarkable talent to documenting the stories of refugees around the world for leading non-governmental organizations.
In his SPEAK EZ interview, Sebastian touches on the misconceptions the world has about refugees and what he has experienced in his many trips to photograph them.
“My own mission statement, if you like, is to give these poor people who've lost everything in a heartbeat the one thing that the war and conflict could not take away - their dignity - and really let it shine,” he said.
