"ne" is used very similarly to how Canadians finish sentences with "eh?". It's to used when you know someone agrees but to also communicate a shared understanding so far in the discussion. "Eh" is also to make sure people are following along properly like in Japanese, but sometimes to clarify but in a softer less blunt way. Only major difference I can see so far is Japanese might use it more often and in places Canadian English may not, but even then it is so similar :)

Sensei, do you have a twin sister? Because if that was editing in those skits, it was a masterful editing 😆 ❤ Love it.

I guess this video provides the foundation for the expression "so desu ne" . That room wasn't TOO dirty, so desu ne? LOL
@SpeakJapaneseNaturally2 жыл бұрын
In that case, "so desu yone?" sounds more natural because you are not sure what I think about the room. But actually, I agree with you. I thought the room wasn't messy enough, but then my daughter told me it was messy😅 And thank you for the comment! I always appreciate it☺️

こんにちは、ふみ先生! It is interesting to see that the particle ね「ne」is exactly the same as the Portuguese "né". It is pronounced in the same way, comes at the end of a sentence, and has the same function. In Portuguese, "né" is a contraction of "não é" = right?, isn't so?, isn't that so?, isn't it? 🙂

is "さ " a more casual way of saying よ ? It was used at 7:52

さ and よ aren’t interchangeable, but yes, さ is very casual.

Why is maximum video resolution 480p?
@SpeakJapaneseNaturally2 жыл бұрын
This video is 1080p, so I guess it depends on the internet connection
@Wazhai2 жыл бұрын
@@SpeakJapaneseNaturally Your two newest videos only appear for me up to 480p, and I don't have an issue with anyone else's in general, can't be my internet. I checked the resolutions manually and gave it time to process after upload, but no difference. It may be some kind of issue on your end, so it would be great if you could double check. Thanks for the great content as always!
