I remember the first time listening to this song as I was in a really dark place and I was sitting in the bathroom at college contemplating taking my own life and then I thought maybe music would help and then I heard this and I broke down In tears as I felt less alone and proud of myself for making it this far and then I'm still struggling daily with it and college isn't making it any better but I'm still fighting citizen soilder has put a purpose to my life i still struggle so much with Trauma/ PTSD/ DID/BPD and college is really tough im only 17 (English school system) and I'm already literally fighting for my life but i have been 7 months clean of attempting and 5-6 weeks clean of self harm and im really proud of myself!

Jake and Addie sound great together on this. For a Halocene song, try Vita Nova, it's one of their best originals, though they don't really have any bad ones.

Not being able to open up and talk to people is one take, but i resonated with the most misunderstood and non research mental illnesses, high functioning depression. It's not num, just apathy towards ones self. Having lots of support, pushing through everything, and forgiving my mistakes. But one night crying myself to sleep the tears just stopped and the feeling never left.

Sorry I'm late on commenting here, I just found out a few minutes ago that you had uploaded this video around 2 weeks ago. Halocene is a rock band that mostly does cover songs, and does originals here and there. Addie, the lead singer, has the most beautiful, angelic voice ever, the most unique vocals ever that is very compatible with Jake's unique vocals, which made Wish I Could Cry have absolutely zero flaws. The best general cover song that Halocene has ever made is "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence. Their best specific cover song is the Christmas rock song cover of "All I Want For Christmas is You" by Mariah Carey. And those are just my personal preferences which you might come to adore and cherish as well. Addie is so unique that her voice practically fits perfectly into all musical genres, she can even rap, as hinted out in Halocene's TikTok, I believe (the KZbin Short is where I had discovered that). She is literally vocally multi-talented, and so out of this goddamn world, really otherworldly (both her and Jake alike!). I'm becoming a big fan of theirs real fast! As for my opinion on their original songs, I have not heard any of them yet, and I am so excited to check a few of them out in the near future! I hope when you dive into their songs, and travel through further, you will come to open up to them and cherish them, you should come to love them. They deal with much mental health issues indicated from their original songs from what I heard. So, if you have the time, please go and check Halocene out
