Excuse me Bob, I hope you are reading this: I can see that Joseph is a bit weak in Jewish theology. You have said several times that there were early rabbis who accepted christianity. First: when I heard your proof of that to Joseph in a different conversation, it was real weak; in fact, basically non-existent. Second: even if you could name someone of that caliber (sanhedrin) who accepted early christianity, it would mean literally nothing, because the Torah tells us very clearly in Exodus 23.2: Thou shalt follow the majority (!). So we need not follow any minority who may have thought erringly that Jesus was anyone but a simple man, if he existed at all. He was not the messiah, he did not do what the messiah was prophesied to do (there was to be no more wars when he came, the lion shall lay beside the sheep in peace, the third temple was to be built, etc.). Sorry, but he was not G-D, he was not the messiah, and he was not a prophet. The historicity of Jesus himself is even in question ...

There are also verses that talk about false prophets with the criteria being that they tell the Jewish people not to follow the Torah. Jesus is quoted in the NT many times attempting to delete Torah laws (what goes out of the mouth defiles, not what goes into the mouth, the sabbath is made for man, not man for the sabbath, etc ......).

They do not read the Hebrew words in the Torah, do not read the entire Torah, take many many verses out of context, omit obvious points found in the Torah that negate christianity totally, and so on.
