Forced displacement from Burma/Myanmar has resulted in nine camps along the Thai/ Myanmar border. The ethnic minorities have had their land confiscated and in cases like the Rohingyas, they have been forced to leave their land permanently by the illegitimate Burma military. ■ Burma/Myanmar is rich in minerals, including metal ores, petroleum, hydro-power and natural gas, farm land and also has significant deposits of precious and semiprecious stones. Foreign companies want a share of this wealth… and ignore human rights atrocities and abuses.
