Si, así yo les hablo español desde que nacieron. Y los dos hablan perfecto español y Inglés. Mi hijo mayor cuando ya iba a la escuela me quería contestar en Inglés, yo lo ignoraba ya me preguntaba qué por qué lo ignoraba! Yo le decía que en mi casa se habla español así que tenía que hablar lo. Quizás se escuche feo la forma en que afronte esto pero fue la única manera de que el no solo quisiera hablar ingles! Yo igual soy nacida aquí pero mis padres solo nos hablaron español. Y se me hace bien bonito que hablen el idioma.

So many people have given my parents shit for not teaching my brothers & me Spanish. But learning in school & paying attention at home even when I wasn’t suppose to be. 😜 I have gotten better at understanding Spanish. Not 100%! But being with a guy that his family is from Mexico & hearing him & his family always speaking Spanish has helped me also. I can’t really speak it but I try. I keep learning & willing to learn as I go. 💋
