There is no self-pity in your heart, only the desire to help other people through this experience. Inna, this is your reality. Never apologize for talking about what you see. As an American, perspectives such as yours are extremely valuable -- for good or ill, everything that comes through the media is filtered through a lens of maximum viewership. We don't see what's happening on the ground like you do. At the same time, don't feel guilty for living a "normal" life. Coming from several generations of military in my family, the continued existence of that normal life is one powerful motivator to win. In that sense, you are _directly_ supporting the war. Godspeed to your husband, and I hope you sell out of those stamps quickly. 🇺🇸 🇺🇦

'Maybe you're tired of Ukrainian refugees'. Actually, I count myself as part of a dying breed who feel people from abroad actually contribute to our society. At my daughter's school they took in a Ukrainian girl who seems to be settling in well. Let's hope some good comes from her displacement. BTW can I use those stamps to send to Russia? Perhaps the irony will be lost on them.

Ina you are a rock yet even rocks must face wind and water. What you are going through is more than many could bear and yet here you are not giving in to despair. Be very very proud of yourself. Do not mistake how some of our leaders drag their feet for how we Europeans have love in our hearts and support for our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. We are with you till the victorious end. I am happy you had some time with your husband and pray he is safe from harm. As for your mother, sometimes we have to make hard choices to protect those we love. Being "home" is not worth the risk of filtration camps. You have done the right thing. I wish you peace and inner strength. As a pensioner (I am your father's age) I don't have the thousand ,(but I did buy a few gifts for friends in the charity shop,) but I will share this vlog as widely as I can. Привіт Інна! You are amazing and you do a fantastic job! I think that you are much stronger and courageous than you think you are. Know that i am proud that some of my taxes goes to Ukraine, and I hope that you will finally get what you need to send those orcs back to their corrupt lair... Keep fighting, stay safe! Gloire à l'Ukraine! Gloire aux Héros!

Inna, you are having a tough time, right enough, feeling unable to help your family. But you are doing more than you know for them, and for your country. You only feel powerless. Your testimony is deeply moving and very powerful, and keeps people around the world in touch with how millions of people in Ukraine must feel, and nurtures our empathy and charity. We can't get fed up with that. English poet John Milton, as he lost his sight, gradually lost his ability to translate foreign texts for the government. He wrote a sonnet which expresses his realisation that he should not judge himself too harshly. The last line was used by many British servicemen in WWII to remind themselves to honour and respect their loved ones and others who could not fight. When I write "Heroiam slava", you are one of the heroes. Here's that sonnet: "When I consider how my light is spent Ere half my days, in this dark world and wide, And that one Talent which is death to hide Lodged with me useless, though my Soul more bent To serve therewith my Maker, and present My true account, lest he returning chide, “Doth God exact day-labour, light denied?” I fondly ask. But patience, to prevent That murmur, soon replies, “God doth not need Either man’s work or his own gifts; who best Bear his mild yoke, they serve him best. His state Is Kingly: thousands at his bidding speed, And post o’er land and ocean without rest; They also serve who only stand and wait.” JOHN MILTON c. 1655 You serve your family, your armed forces, your country, your people and your subscribers very well. "Who best bear [God's] mild yoke, they serve Him best." You must bear the unbearable, and we learn of that from you. God bless you.

Inna, firstly, thank your husband for us, please, do that if/when you get the opportunity. By the way, war is the cause of *all* this upheaval for your family... Not you, nor your Mum, nor your Dad. But times of such desperation are confusing to deal with psychologically, it must be difficult to know what to do for the best. Missing home is a tough call. Hopefully, your mum will eventually realise that you just want her and your Dad to be safe and in the safest places for them. It's easy to confuse some English words, like mark.... I wonder did you hear the term 'postmark' before? In English the 'postmark' is the ink that the post office machines print onto the envelopes, usually on top of the stamp, to show that the stamp has been used. This is done to stop people from peeling the stamps off envelopes and reusing them. Postmarks show the place where the letter (or parcel) has come from, usually the nearest town or city. No one will rest easy until that neighbouring country of yours learns to stay in its own country and leave other countries alone. No one will forget about Ukraine, because it was *always a part of Europe* long before that tiny Russia of the 1300s started trying to control other bits of land that belonged to other countries. One often finds those who can't control themselves try to control others))) I've heard of a lot of Russians recently who are starting to see they've had the wool pulled over their eyes and they are not happy with their leaders *at* all. Lots have realized that Ukrainian troops are admired greatly for defending their people, but Russian troops are being paid to die for land they nor their familes won't ever be in... Keep your chin up, no one in civilized society acknowledges their arrogance and delusions of grandeur, and no one likes to walk away before they know that Ukraine is safe and secure. I'm sure no one in the world wants to see a repeat of the deceit of WW2 in modern times. Thankfully it's easier to discover exactly what's going on in such an interconnected world these days ;) It will be alright in the end... It's the warm season now and you should have flowers in your room to greet you when you walk in. My Mum always had cheerful flowers during WW2 she said it was in spite of the bombs)))

Postmark is what they’re commonly called in Euoropean countries. Postage stamp, or just stamp, is what we call postmarks in Canada and the United States. Just so you know :) I hope you’re able to raise a lot more and that you can see your family again soon

Inna, I cannot imagine the current situation in Ukraine, invaded by destructive Russians. However, I think you are holding up quite well... sure, you feel stress, that's normal, but you STILL HAVE your sense of humor!

Dear Inna, I have no daughter. Never in my life have I regretted that so much than now when I see your kindness and your dedication in the face of danger and unimaginable suffering! Here in Germany, the people of Ukraine are admired like I have never seen in 60 years! (Polls also show that Chancellor Scholz is widely seen as a failure and an embarrassment, to a large degree because of his abysmally bad performance in the question of supporting Ukraine with weapons and sanctions against Russia! @ The "Like" yourself" stamps: I think, you can do one better: Why not make an auction with a starting bet of 1000€?

I'm so sorry for what you are going through... :(( no human should have to endure that. it's so sad. For my part there's not a day I don't think about Ukraine and I watch Zelensky's adresses daily. I keep seeing things in the news where I live and people here are tired of hearing of the war and the President calls for help.... I'm so sad that this is happenning. We need to talk even more about it, help more, it must not become just a little side news... you guys are fignthing so hard! You need this win, all the world need this win! But I suppose Canada doesn't mind that much since we are on another continent. :( I know the government tries to help but the normal citizen doesn't much. :( Слава Україні! Героям Слава!

Staying strong for Ukraine!!The Orcs think they will endure longer than Ukrainians, and they are wrong. Dead wrong. (But Sweetie, it isn’t cool for us to know your mother’s discussions of her agonizing dilemma.)
