Damien Barton The shot was less than perfect. At 10:10 the arrow hit some branches before finding its mark. It doesn’t take much to deflect an arrow. He got lucky. The chance of wounding the animal was too great with that much debris. In my opinion the shot was irresponsible and unsportsmanlike. I’d have passed on that particular shot.

Tim, you need to get into atlatls! They increase your effective throwing distance by more than double. They are also significantly easier to aim than spears.

Tim Wells Bow Hunter they come with their own list of issues. Blowguns are definitely easier to aim and fire than atlatls. I’m writing my Master’s thesis on atlatls in Central America and even hunted a ram with one. I make my own darts and throwers from scratch.

This was a farmed animal hunt. Big fences around the outside of the farm. Animals running round inside. He just tells whatever story he wants to get most hits on KZbin. It is available if you got the money tho. Just gotta go through the right channels.

Tim, are the razor broad head darts you're using for your blowgun in this video custom made? It's obvious that the cones are, and I'd love to get some those, but the shaft of the darts look longer the the orange cone variety that I've found. Mine are about 5.75 inches, or 145 mm long from tip to the end of the cone. If yours are longer, did you make them yourself, or did you have someone make them for you?

Been slocking rabbits in my backyard for practice and a tasty meal now and then since I bought the Tim Wells edition Slockmaster Blowgun. The razor tipped broadheads a lot of the time go right through the animal, especially if you loosen the cone a little bit. I used to think blowguns were worthless, until I got my hands on this big bore blowgun. Obviously I don't have the expertise like the true Slockmaster Tim, but I am betting I could take down some pretty big game with a well placed shot after all the practice I've been getting during quarantine. Tim's not just an inspiration, he's a LEGEND!!

It's exclusively used by psychopaths. There is no need to ever cause more suffering than is needed, we live in a time of technology and without the need to hunt for survival. So if you do hunt for 'fun' or for sport, it should be as ethical as possible, not this crazy crap.

My thoughts exactly. He is missing way too much to be taking these shots at this range. I've seen videos of hunters throwing spears heavy from stands that seem to kill the animal inside of a few seconds with a very high percentage. That sort of spear hunting is completely different than this, hucking a spear 25 years at an animal and banking on the hope that you can hit inside of a 2 foot range while missing most of the time. Its one thing if this is done for food, and another if its done for youtube videos. I am unimpressed by this video.
