Appreceate the support. Would love to post more but its really a matter of diving enough and getting enough good footage, I could post after just a couple dives but it takes a while to get enough footage of really good fish to make a killer vid!

Wow that was a great video. I felt as if I was with you. Sorry about the injuries. That looked like a very good shot you made on that huge halibut. Shot placement really makes a difference with those big one. I think the use of a flashlight down those dark holes and crevices makes a crucial difference. Thanks again with the fish identification. Could you sorta give me an idea how far some of the fishes are away from the end of your spear. Was that halibut about 10 feet away when you shot it or closer or further away. I think the camera perspective makes the shots look a little further than they actually are. Just wondering. I appreciate you doing this for us retired skin divers. LOL

where abouts did u used to dive? Bet u have some wicked stories from before fisheries got hit to hard commercially! Depends on the shot but I think the halibut was around 8ft away from me, the sheephead and white fish were closer to 10-12

Kodiak Morasky Thanks for the distance information. I skin dived in Hawaii in the 1970s but never spear fished. I do shoot carp with bow and arrow every spring, for eggs and meat for my various pets like turtles and tropical fish.
