Spearfishing in Wellington New Zealand (Episode 69 )

In this episode I get to witness Wellington’s rugged coastline and dive into some spectacular waters.
I was fortunate enough to dive alongside some great spearo’s who introduced me to Welly’s lively waters. As the visibility began to clear up there was an abundance of fish to get amongst as I continue my hunt for a big old kingfish.

The blind eel! What a treat for you bro haha! They actually aren’t dangerous, just more annoying. Most encounters I’ve had with them have been on the line when they wrap around the sinker. Whatever lure or sinker they touch is buggered so you just cut them away. You can actually eat them apparently if you can be bothered removing all the snot of their body

It was so strange seeing it , I was having trouble diving with my sinuses, would love to have got some close ups of it . Haha yeah eels are something else when it comes to road and line .
