So no it actually does not have to be doubled as your ping is the time it takes for your client to send your inputs to the server and the server sending a response. The time it takes from client send to client receives response is your ping.

This is insane. The delay doesn't sound bad, but imagine seeing your own MOUSE on a half second delay! BUT all the inputs aren't delayed at all. Like, you can't click the map until you see your mouse after a delay. Click a minion, a champion, a ward? Delayed sight. Insane.
