I'm sure you do realize that's not true because she's only been getting involved more and more with her own music as the years pass. "Modern Times" was the last time she was under the company's complete influence, after the successful release of "Friday" (a self-composed song), she's since been given more rights to control her music. She contacts the musicians she want to collab with nowadays, and write 90% of her new music lyrics. Even for a remake album like this, she still got a lot involvement in the production process. Was that enough?

this song is part of iu's flower cover part 2. flower cover albums are tribute to famous old korean artists. this song is basically a cover. kim gun mo sang this song when he debut back in 1992. iu likes to cover songs of old school famous artists and make them "more feasible" to younger audience
