Denise, I have been saving up for the Stone ground pigments, they are interesting. More immediately your videos have me fooling around with what I have on hand. I laugh because I know, gathering supplies is a separate hobby from making marks on paper. I am down for both!

Wow, Denise, those ornaments are just so ethereal and beautiful! I was trying to come up with an idea for making some Christmas cards, and I think I may have to try this! I think you will enjoy those Polychromos coloured pencils. They are so buttery/creamy. A few years ago I watched a video where Sarah Renae Clark (who created the Color Cubes that you have with the various colour palette ideas) compare a lot of different pencil crayons, and I ended up buying a set of the Polychromos. They are wonderful to use with other mediums - just like you did now with the watercolour ornaments. You have really turned me onto watercolour, and I'm normally an oil and acrylic girl - but why limit ourselves, eh? Happy painting!

Just ordered the 10-pc build your own box - thanks for the discount code! I had a Sketchbox subscription a couple years ago and enjoyed it (who doesn’t like getting art supplies?), however I found that I didn’t end up using many of the supplies. I’m curious to see if I like the build your own plan better. I could see downsizing in a few months depending on how many new supplies they add each month. But for this first box, I definitely got my money’s worth! And I included some new-to-me items I’ve been curious to try. Thanks again!

I got my box a few days ago and am only getting to play with it this weekend. I was particularly drawn in by the chance to try the Stoneground paints. I’m looking forward to trying the Arteza paper - I live at elevation in a very dry climate and I find that anything less than 100% cotton paper is very hard to work with, so I’m always buying Arches. It will be nice if there’s a cheaper alternative for my less important pieces. Lovely paintings, thank you!
