Hey Jeff I'm a fellow diabetic van dweller lost my right leg below the knee in 2017. It's a bitch at first but I have no doubt you'll be just fine! Make sure you process the loss just as if someone you love has died. You need to grieve the loss properly. I didn't and was messed up for years because of it. You'll be fine. You'll do everything you did before you just may do things differently. Good luck man. Youre getting positive energy from me! P.S. go to rehab after surgery! I didn't and to this day I wish I had. Would've made things much easier.

Yes definitely go to rehab and do what you are told. I know someone that did everything he was told and he recovered much quicker. Not saying it will be easy but definitely worth it. Love to Jeffie Bear💗

Rehab rebuilds your strength BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, the PT’s & OT’s are going yo teach you how to adapt to your new circumstances. Before too long, the loss of your legs will become a minor inconvenience!
