Staff need to be trained coached and mentored not only on safe vaccine delivery but also customer service, how to empathize with communities and clients they are taking care of, how to add personalized care to vaccine administration. The problem of insecurity is posing a very serious challenge to success of implementing immunization activities. Two weeks ago, i was at Wasagu/Danko LGA of Kebbi state, NIgeria. Some of the settlements were displaced by the bandits and other terrorists. Most of the people claimed that what they need is food, water and shelter and not vaccines. so, it was not easy for us.
