For spies, the automatically repeat function allows the spies to reassign themselves to the original place of the country if they are doing missions like collab government.

I personally disagree that Navy experience should be nerfed. Yes it gives a lot, but you need a lot in order to build ships. Furthermore, training ships is very costly both in fuel, and in lost production capacity when you have to repair the ships.
@fidoruh Жыл бұрын
One thing I've always wished is that you could use the XP to speed up research in the air and army section. It's my favorite part of the navy XP gain. But I'll be honest I never even thought about the fact it can hamper your production before.
The collaboration governments only reduce the enemy’s surrender threshold if you are directly occupying its victory points, it doesn’t work if your allies are occupying the territory. In this situation, try requesting a major victory point from the Germans in Leningrad or Moscow; the soviets would have capped early 43.

Just wanted to say thank you for this series. I hadn't checked on your channel in a minute, but I'm glad I did. I have 2k+ hours in, but haven't played since Man the Guns. The constant changing of game mechanics got overwhelming for me, so I've spent the past couple years scratching that itch with playthroughs on YT. Seeing you go through the newer mechanics in detail has really removed the intimidation and made me want to pick up the game again! Much love for that, brother. Hope you feel better soon!

Some points on collaboration governments from an almost exclusively Romania player: 1) You will not get the compliance bonuses in occupied territory if the original country still exists after the peace conference. In the example from this video, the Russian Empire puppet is the legitimate owner of all that Soviet territory, and it seems to negate any bonuses from the collab gov operations. 2) The location you performed the collaboration government operations seems to matter too. I play Romania a lot and have often been able to annex most of the Eastern Soviet Union. However, because I did my collab govs in Moscow, which Germany owns, I was only able to gain the compliance bonuses (and option to form a collaboration government subject) AFTER turning on Germany any occupying Moscow. 3) The collaboration government does not affect the surrender limit of the country if you are not the one occupying their territory. I have found Romania in particular struggles with this as they have a much smaller frontline than Germany, so even if you start fighting them when the Soviets demand Bessarabia, the Germans usually outpace your advance and occupy more of the territory. 4) If you intend to create collaboration government subjects in countries you have annexed, but you also change your own country's ideology (such as through a Romanian focus), make sure you only change ideology AFTER selecting the decision to form the collaboration government. Changing ideology prior to selecting the decision will result in the compliance in your occupied territories dropping, which may put you below the compliance threshold for forming a collab gov subject. I assume this is meant to represent your previous government being the one to make negotiations with the representatives of the collaboration government, who don't have the same sort of relationship with your newly formed government. 5) Collaboration government operations seem to not affect territory secured through focuses. For example, Romania has a focus to divide yugoslavia between Hungary and Italy. Romania can do 3 collab government operations, bid successfully for all the Yugoslavian territory in the decisions unlocked by the focus, and then make Yugoslavia submit and let Romania annex them. In this situation, the collaboration government operations are completely ignored and the newly occupied Yugoslavian territory starts at 0% compliance. However, if Romania does their divide yugoslavia focus, deletes their army, and then pressures Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia will refuse the ultimatum, allowing Romania to declare war and annex the territory by force. In that scenario the collaboration government missions suddenly ARE counted and the annexed territory would be at max compliance. I have no clue if this is a bug or a feature. Collaboration governments and compliance are really weird mechanics and I can't claim to fully understand how they interact, there are so many times I've done something which has drastically screwed up my collaboration government plans. In general I'd say they're not very reliable, especially if you're a minor power.

Actually you only need a 50% network to do collabs. So you reach 50% with a spy, you put him/her on quiet intel and you put the other to do collabs on auto repeat. The 50% requirment doesn't go away since the network level doesn't drop on quiet network. If you have 4 spies it's even easier since if something happens to one of them during the operation you can replace him with no downtime.

Hey, Dave. I figured I'd give a more indepth explanation on how the new 1 division trick works. So while what you said is correct there is some more nuance to it and this nuance tells you when it's more effective. So the 1 division trick is less effective because when you first start doing it the game still thinks you have your original army size. And it takes time for the game to realize you've deleted your army to do the 1 division trick. I'm not exactly sure how long it takes per division for the game to realize you've only got one division but it does scale off army size. This means that france or the soviet union who starts off with a massive army it takes a very long time for the 1 division trick to start working, however for a country like new zealand or hungry who start off with a very small time it takes a comparatively very short time for the 1 division trick to get going. Let me know if anyone has any comments about this cause I'm pretty sure this might be a little confusing.

If you're really far ahead in research in a specific area, like industry, or air or whatever, you can actually abuse "steal blueprint" from your spy agency. This is because you get a 300% research bonus AND a ahead of time bonus from stealing a blueprint, if there are no new blueprints to be gained. They are also very cheap missions to prepare for, unlike collaboration governments.
@FeedbackGaming Жыл бұрын
I like that mechanic however the RNG is frustrating. Getting a excavation tech instead of dispersed industry is pain
@sandercohen5543 Жыл бұрын
@@FeedbackGaming Yeah, it's also harder to pull off for certain techs, as the AI seems to prioritize some more than others, but I've had some measure of success with it. The key is to steal your blueprints from a nation that doesn't have that much research done, so that way you can guarantee getting the research bonus instead of a random blueprint. It's a lot less finnicky than it sounds, i swear XD
The historical reason for 1 man turrets being bad, the commander of the tank has to do 3 jobs command the tank, be the gunner and the loader. Being the loader wasn't much of a problem early war as the gun calibers where small and the shells where easily handled, as the caliber of the guns increased the tank need a dedicated loader as the shells where heavy, this is why 3 man turret are what most WW2 tank ended up as, you get a dedicated commander, dedicated gunner and dedicated loader. If you lose 1 man from a 1 man turret, the tank can either drive or fight, if you lost 1 man from a 3 man turret you will be less effective but still able to fight.

Stacking spies is a bad idea imho because you lose "National Coverage." The more "Coverage" you have, the faster your network strength grows [e.g. 50% strength to start a collab gov]. I tend to have at least 3 spies in a country to do 1 collab, where one maintains/strengthens the network while the other two [at 50+%] do the collab, put them on repeat mission and repeat previous objective [build network], and you're set.

Hey, i think i found an exploit. Not sure if this is a known thing. When you buy a license for a plane, and you change the type of that plane (ie from fighter to cas), it looses the license modifier and you basically get a free template for the frame. If you cancel the the license it also stay, then you can change it back to the old type and you have your free template (plus you get higher production, because you dont have the increased costs of the license) Might be a good thing to do, when you play minors

I’ve now binged and watched a lot of your videos and have some thoughts. I honestly don’t understand your videos. You label and thumbnail the videos ‘min-max’ or ‘min-maxing’, and talk about min-maxxing, but then say you’re going to play historical-ish and play for fun too. You can’t do both. [Well, you can, as i’ll explain, but not the way you present it and do it and execute it.] The way you present those things are completely contradictory and cannot both be simultaneously the case. You don’t say that you’re going to play in an interesting way that doesn’t mean you take over the whole world and is realistic (which in my opinion is more fun to watch, as there’s struggle and effort and thought and strategy involved), and have fun - while min-maxing as much as possible in and within those parameters and scenarios and choices. So I don’t get why you complain when people say you don’t min-max, because you don’t. It’s a black and white thing; either you are doing it, or you aren’t - there’s no grey area or nuance (at-least with how you set it out). You are not purely min-maxing, which is what you are advertising and saying you are doing when you label and thumbnail your vids ‘min-max’ or ‘min-maxing’ and then constantly talk about it. You label, thumbnail and say one thing, but do the opposite, while claiming you’re doing that thing and then complain when others say that you’re not. As I said, you could just say that you’re going to choose a challenging, different, alternate, difficult, interesting or fun (any and/or all of that combination) path and route to go down, and min-max within and in those parameters, but you don’t. You just say [for this video for example] ‘romania min-max’ but this isn’t romania min-maxed. This is, “I’m playing for fun, and i’m also playing for youtube and so I’ve decided that I want to do different things in each video, so i’m going to make ‘different’ [aka bizarre, strange and jarring] choices that aren’t ’min-max’ or optimal at all, but i’m going to call this min-maxed”. But you don’t even need to this, and that’s what I don’t understand. If you had a concept and idea and plan for the video and play through and game, each video wouldn’t be the same and you wouldn’t need to make choices that aren’t min-maxed like having strange divisions to keep it ‘interesting’. And i’ll touch on this in a minute, but we don’t even get to see the results, ending and fruits of this and all your gameplay, so it’s pointless and a waste of time. As I said, you also make really bizarre choices to ‘freshen things up’ so it’s not the same in every video, but you can just play as best and optimally as you can while playing each country and have a fully realised and mapped out path, plan and strategy and min-max within and in those parameters, without making bizarre, weird and frustrating choices like having only seven divisions (all of which are special forces marine tanks??) like you did here? This bugs me quite a bit, especially (as i’ve also said, and as you always say) that you are ‘mix-maxing (aka playing as optimally and effectively as possible). But you aren’t playing optimally - not even within the choices you make (as you decided that you want to make changes each time to keep it fresh - which is unnecessary as if you had a concept for each video and play through you wouldn’t need to, and the choices you decide to make to keep it ‘interesting’ and ‘fresh’ are silly, and not congruent with ‘min-maxing’ as you claim, but diametrically opposed). Furthermore, what is the point in making a one-to-two hour video if you’re not going to play until completion. Why not play until you’ve accomplished all that you’ve set out to, or at-least until the major war (if there is one) is properly completed). You don’t seem to have any vision or idea or strategy of what you want to do. Why not think ‘oh, today, i’m going to play as romania. i’m going to go down a semi-historical path and then vary. Here is what I want to accomplish and achieve’? Why don’t you look at the focus trees and options and figure out a plan and strategy and goals? When I play, I think ‘today I want to play britain. I don’t need to expand or conquer as I have a massive empire. I’m going to fortify and consolidate the empire and play defensively, and play in such a way that no one could conquer me and most wouldn’t even try. I’m going to play a peace through strength britain, and i’m going to remain democratic.’ There’s a fully thought out concept example for a video. Finally, some of your complaints are against really very bizarre and somewhat annoying. Of-course you’re going to have more limited options and availability to dominate as a smaller country - isn’t that obvious? That’s also part of the fun. Making the most out of what you can, and maximising your success (aka min-maxing, which you claim in every video to do). It’s boring watching the same 1000 videos of people playing germany or america taking over the entire map (you said you like to play majors for that reason, as there is no other reason with your logic and reasoning). I enjoy watching your videos, but they could be a LOT more enjoyable, entertaining and interesting as sometimes it is quite frankly frustrating and irritating watching you. I hope you read this and take this on-board, as I am obviously still watching for a reason. This is constructive criticism and feedback, and I believe it would benefit you and be wise to at-least listen and take it on board.
