What doesn't make sense to me is how chronologically, Mortal Kombat: Special Forces is the first part of the story, but Jax has the metal arms. If I remember correctly, he had those put on between Mortal Kombat 2 and Mortal Kombat 3

Tremor was included only after a prolonged fan campaign to get him included in a Mortal Kombat game. There was hope that he'd be included in Armageddon and disappointment when people discovered that he had been excluded. I was also disappointed to discover that they had redesigned Tremor rather than giving him his classic look, even as a skin. You could've also mentioned Jarek, who was in MK4, but I wouldn't have included him as a very cool character. As far as I see it, the problem with Jarek was how he was portrayed in the games which was Netherrealm's responsibility. However, I was referring mostly to Tasia who has never been featured in a Mortal Kombat game and seemed like she had potential.
