Ryan and Jacob are the best characters to play as for the personality. Ryan is so real in alot of these reations. Tho people would think jacob is the total opposite he is actually the same. He even admits its mostly an act and you can actually see that in more serious moments. His hard accent even softing abit. Honestly he does what i do when im scared or sad I have this defense mechanism where i joke around instead of freak out. (Gotten me in alot of trouble) So ya his character if very realistic to. I dont know enough about the other characters tho as im just getting to Jacob.

I really like both, but prefer Jacob because of his skill card that boosts his critical hit damage and regenerates stamina on critical hits when his stamina is low. Great for spamming heavy attacks with bulldozer and maiming weapons, especially with the balanced mod.

Yes, the floater has almost transparent skin because of the mutation his skin had, In the information on the DI riptide it says that his skin became thinner and more resistant to be able to keep the internal pressure of the floater stable due to the large accumulation of gases and liquids, Because of this, he had a natural weakness to slashing weapons, but because his skin was always damp, he had natural resistance to fire.

The original dead island butcher is the reason I never managed to finish the damn game. Fucker managed to block me no matter what I did, and sliced me up way too quick. Being a little more flexible in Dead Island 2 saved that from happening to me again. The fuckers are tough and still give the feel that they could kill me if I lose being at the top of my game (even being at the ‘top of my game’ I still get sliced several times. Unfortunately for them I maxed autophage in a way that if I win, I’m gonna be just fine) Looking forward to the new enemies in the DLC (really hope it turns out well. I liked how the zombies were the threat, not stupid human squabbling in Dead Island 2, but I know there’s a good chance that could change in the DLC, so if it happens, I hope it’s tasteful.) Hope I’m as good as I think I am, because I am not looking forward to the repeat of that single Butcher blocking my way to the rest of the game (DLC. Still)

I dislike how the characters talk too much in 2, it ruins the mood of introducing something like the butcher which was supposed to be horrorfying then you just hear "is that a fucking clown?!... this isnt funny!"

DI2 Does not work. It abandoned horror in favor of cheap comedy and reference jabs. DI and DIR WORKS, they understood horror.

i'm just really suprised they never re-used the concept of the ram zombies. those things in the first game was enough to ensure anxiety whenever i seen them X D

When it comes to the games dead island 2 makes them more likable playable characters and zombies a better design Ryan is the more realistic character as his reactions are what we would all do Jacob is just the comedian calling the clown a nonce and a child snatcher As for the others idk i havent played the other 3-4 characters but alot more diversity than previous games where the playable characters were static planks and looked dead inside

​@i believe everything i see online It wasn't though. HL2 was a game released in 2004 and the animations and that game CLEAR DI1 and Riptide animations. Hell most animations in COD games at the time cleared them. They really weren't that good, even for their time.
