This is Special Investigation, Lv 300 is much easier. You are not required to do Special Investigation to progress or farm materials, Special Investigation is just for you to test your Skills against the strongest form of each monsters

Awesome run! So it's still very much worth using Sneak Attack on a monster like Diablos, even on an element damage focused build?

Yes. I mean switch axe is not charge blade, it still needs raw if not, why would we use critical boost or stuff like that LOL. Plus Sneak Attack doesn't increase attack, it's a damage multiplier.

Mhmm not exactly You see when you attack the monster, between your raw, element and the monster hitzones, there are some calculations done, and that is your damage. Skills like "Sneak Attack", will take that final number (damage) and multiple it by x%, basically increasing your damage.

How is it that you can dodge attacks when you don't have evade window?

There is a skill called "Embolden" when active, it gives evade window and guard. The only difference between that and regular evade window is that [Embolden requires the Monster to be targeting you]. Embolden is good when solo playing and bad in multiplayer since the monster won't always target you and you risk getting hit in a crossfire or AOE
