This makes me really happy. P-38 is my personal favorite plane of all time. Seeing it with its spiritual descendent makes me really happy. Like father, like son.

If I was the pilot of that P-38, I totally would said on the radio: "If you need me to throttle back, don't be shy..."

My dad flew P38s over Eastern Europe out of Italy in WW II. Don’t think I could ever get tired of watching videos of a P38 pacing a modern jet.

Same. My grandfather was an ace in the lightning over north Africa and western Europe. God bless the P-38.

Imagine showing these birds to someone like Billy Mitchell-he'd be tearing up seeing air power getting the recognition it deserves.

Great show! I heard the ground controller refer to the P38 pilot as Steve. I'm guessing it was Steve Hinton, one of the most famous WW2 aircraft pilots?

Me thinks if F-35's could have escorted B-17's the ME-262's would not have a good day.

Never before has a stark contrast between two types ever been so evident. One type has earned it`s rightful place in American combat fighter lore while the other is best known for simply being a Turd.
@malcolmcossar64472 жыл бұрын
Well with any luck The New F35 will make it's reputation when WW3 Starts which probably will be sooner than we think thanks to MF Putin. But No sense wondering whether the F35 will be any good because about 99% of we humans will be gone from this earth with the start of WW3 so None of us will be able to see the Turd in Action. Yeah I'm Being a Smart Ass but my statement is also FACT!😤 Don't Even Bother responding because it's a waste of time😒
@connorhoffman47602 жыл бұрын
The F'35 being a turd is a work of fiction by people who don't understand research and development and fighter jets.
@skykeg49782 жыл бұрын
@@connorhoffman4760 It`s not fiction when a type`s gestation period is longer than sought and extends into the type`s obsolescence.
