I am from Singapore. I actually chanced upon a sermon by Pastor Peter Tan-chi and had been listening almost everyday coz his sermon is powerpacked with bible verses and he unpacked the verses and relate it to practical living. After listening to many sermons, I decided to get back into reading of God’s Word as I had fallen back during Covid times, losing that “hunger” for his Word. After hearing tis sermon, I am nudged again to pray. In fact for some time sthg within me had been telling me that I need to pray! I praise and thank God for ministering to me thru CCF’s message. My friend when I told her abt the sermons, she said she also had just restarted to read the bible. Thank you CCF & thank you Pastor Peter Tan-Chi. Just wana let you know that you have harvested fruits from Singapore too.

I'm encouraged by this. I've struggled with fear and doubt for the ~20+ years I've known God, but He's blessed me with the instinct to turn to Him automatically. When things go well, I praise Him and glorify Him. When things are hard, I turn to Him for comfort and answers, and at least want to be grateful. Knowing that God knows what's best for us, and that He is Lord over all, it's easy for me to say, "What's the use of me asking You for [whatever particular request I have for God]? You know what's best; let Your will be done." Sounds great, except it's my way of giving up, and usually I'm in tears and tired of begging God for what I fear is a selfish request at that point. If it's important enough, God restores my faith and I start to ask Him for that request again, and the cycle repeats until I get an answer or no longer have to worry about it. Sometimes I wonder why God cares at all, and bitterness is a familiar temptation. Its so instinctive for me in times of great sorrow, and I don't like being bitter because I know it's wrong, that I apologize to God for being so cold toward Him. By God's grace, the longest I've ever been bitter is one day, and that was after learning that I distressed someone I love. Long story short, it was something I had dreaded and tried desperately to avoid, and the fact that it made me bitter to the point of being almost nihilistic made me more bitter. Praise God that the next day I was no longer bitter, and God used that to encourage someone else who had lost almost all their faith through me. Basically, I have a close enough relationship with the Lord to always turn to Him and be in constant prayer, but I feel like I still barely know Him personally. I know Him quite well intellectually, but not very well in my heart I'm afraid. For some reason, it just won't sink in. I am still just learning how to endure, be patient, and joyful in the midst of struggles and pain. I can bounce back pretty quickly, but when I'm down, I'm down to begging God for mercy. You'd rarely see me without a positive attitude in public, and it's not acting, but deep down I may be hiding sorrow behind a grateful, happy-go-blessed smile. So, even after two decades of being in Christ, I'm still a child spiritually, so much that I still don't fully get the concept of persistent prayer, and since I know God cares more about our holiness than our happiness, it's tempting for me to conclude that I shouldn't bother Him with my wants, because I feel that He only cares about what I need. I'm so afraid of being selfish that the idea of praying for a girlfriend, for example, is foreign to me. On the other hand, when a major issue comes up in my life, since I trust God the most out of love and respect for Him, He's the first (if not the only) one I turn to for help, so I end up apologizing for sounding selfish. Please pray for me, that I would draw closer to Jesus and to my fellow siblings in Christ. Also, I need direction in my life, having recently graduated college in December of 2014 (just got re-enrolled for a second degree, actually) and on the job hunt, and in the meantime have apparently become something of a freelance cyber Apologeticist, using Scripture, reasoning, and my education under God's guidance to at least plant seeds. God's used my college education to prepare me for this, but even though my studies have been primarily focused on Science, Mathematics, and logic (thank the Lord, literally, for the Philosophy classes I took, as they taught me how to think critically, form an opinion, make a case, and defend it with sound reason, among other things), I feel like I just keep hitting one brick wall after another, although I know God is helping me grow in many ways. Your videos have been a tremendous blessing, and by adding them to the appropriate playlists ("Bible studies" and "faith-builders" are obvious choices, but some are also put into "God's love", and even "Christian videos for the broken") hopefully I can extend your audience and be used to bless others as well. May the Lord God richly bless you all and be greatly glorified and magnified in you and through you in the holy and precious name of Jesus, amen.

Pastor peter ask lang po ako about sa fasting why monday?,why not tuesday wed thursday friday sat and sun.?its specific day monday?,why there is 7days of fasting for every yr of jan..i am a catholic believers..i was broken and i found this pritch ..and i fast for 7days for revival of my soul

It doesnt matter if anong day ka mag fast as long as kusang loob gagawin ang fasting..kc po may kasamahan po ako dito sa bahay shes a converted to islam and i share it to her that all pastor have fast everyweek and they fast at monday sabi ko sa kanya make it a habit fast of monday..then sinagot nya ako same sa islam..❤

Good day Pastor Peter with gratitude and humble heart . I’ve been listening to your message since 2019 and now Jan 12,2022 at this early morning I encountered your preaching just woke up it’s okay I’ve been praying and meditate in the Word of God. And yes I fast too. Please forgive me if I will disagree to what you have said about praying repeatedly using beads as Catholic this is called the Rosary not just beads but with high respect and reverence to Jesus and Mother Mary. Have you tried to listen how we pray the Rosary? Have you tried to read the contents of the Rosary? May I challenge you to do it? I pray to our Lord Jesus Christ that you will and may God direct and guide your mind and heart. Please pray also for discernment and leading of the Holy Spirit in God’s perfect time that He will open the way that this may happen according to His will. I highly recommend to pray the Rosary as a daily devotion, this is the story of Jesus and Mother Mary from Jesus birth to death and resurrection. Taken from the Gospel of Luke and Scripture in the Bible. Also, I really admire you being a wonderful Preacher, husband , father and grandfather a man of dignity and honor...Let’s be united worshiping and praising the Lord as one brother and sister in Christ.
