Damn...this was such a good conversation. I feel like I was sitting in there with you. Been watching Drew's Baer vids for a while now but it was so good to hear him speak so relaxed and not like he was instructing. Thanks to Drew, Josh, Jamie....uh....I mean Nick & the entire D.C. crew for putting this out. Very motivating!

I went and stayed with my cousin, Bonnie in the 80s. She lived in Spring Texas. I had a blast being from Detroit hanging out with all those people in Texas. I got in so much trouble. Had a blast.

Well thanks @dirtycivilian, and @drewestell @baersolutions. Now I have a new book to buy, new war belt and Agonic EDC belt to review on the channel, AND some new pants. Looks like I have some new Christmas gift ideas to spread around this year. Thanks guys for getting Drew on here. After 15 years of taking classes he’s been on my bucket list for a minute now. I’m really hoping to drive down (I’m just a few hrs from you guys) and take a course next year.

A note for folks in the Southeast: treated down or synthetics are your only options. Period. Most people down here are going to sweat in any sort of sleep system, be it bag, quilt, or puffy garments, and that sweat will absolutely compromise down fills. The ambient moisture will also prevent the down fill from drying and revitalizing in any reasonable time frame while out being used. Bring anti-chafe stuff, use double wall shelter fabrics or have standoff between the shelter and yourself, and accept the weight and compression penalty of synthetics OR the higher $ cost of treated down filled gear. Awesome thought on the separate emergency bag to provide care to another. That's not something that crossed my mind and it 100% should have. 👍

Nice gun ! Franklin armory is garbage. it's simply garbage. they're gonna try to tell you to accommodate "most light strikes" by putting an AR10 buffer Spring in it and basically do the opposite of everything a gun like that should have And when it's all set and done and they get you artificially increase your bolt Carrier speed Which does cause premature wear, and they get you to do all this stuff that shouldn't be done It will still have an unacceptable amount of light strikes In other words their instructions only reduce the amount of light strikes at the cost of the operating system running too fast and wearing it out prematurely. And you will still have a unacceptable ammount of light strikes! Ask me how I know. I made the same choice as you at first cause I didn't like the MIM part nature of the the Echo trigger It just looks cheap and junky But I must say it will allow for the proper operation of the gun with the correct Springs in it and I have over 4000 rounds on mine now and that thing is actually built like a truck yeah it's a cheap manufacturing but it was done correctly at least in the regards of mine and any trigger like This must fire at a high cycle parade thus must have a hammer safety lever Trip for the bolt Carrier that will release the hammer only once the bulk carriers closes , Then you will still need the correct buffer weight for that barrel easy to find out in a normal correct Spring and then you will have no more lightstrikes you can't outrun It's a trigger which is such a ridiculous And disappointing feature to the Franklin armory triggers
