‘Special piece of art’: Rita Panahi reacts to new King Charles portrait

Sky News host Rita Panahi has shared her love for King Charles’ new official portrait, labelling it a “special piece of art”.
The piece was unveiled at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday local time and stands at more than eight feet tall.
The new portrait depicts His Majesty wearing the uniform of the Welsh Guards, of which he was made Regimental Colonel in 1975.

If you look carefully at the painting you'll see half of a face of a dragon coming up from behind Charles to his left on the right side of the painting. So the red is Charles being burned up from behind by a dragon. This artist is a genius who knows the truth about Charles destiny as monarch. It's interesting that the painting was commissioned in 2020 because there was a court decision that basically ended the rule of the British Royal Family. That decision has been sealed for various reasons but if that decision is ever unsealed the British Crown will be defeated and confiscated by someone outside the British Royal Family. The clue that I'll give is that the court case has to do with the one who named the British Isles Britannia in the first place.

I think it is beautiful. I am not an Art Critic but I do think it is quite special. It does what a portrait is suppose to do; it highlights his face, and the rest falls to the background. It is quite stunning in my opinion.

RED has a historical precedent in British Royal Portraiture. Yeo has merged the past with the present...Charles is literally the face and hands of this "MERGER" between the two. Additionally The usage of red coats by English soldiers dates back to the Tudor period, when the Yeomen of the Guard and the Yeomen ( wondering if the artist Yeo is a descendant of Yeomen) Warders were both equipped in the royal colours of the House of Tudor, red and gold. Add to this symbolism the fact Charles was the Prince if Wales for decades. Coch (Red) - Arguably the most significant color for Wales. It dates back to Arthurian legend when Merlin had a vision of a red dragon (representing native Britons) fighting the white dragon (the Saxon invaders). So historically again the artists merges the two uses of red into "ONE" , and if you know the history of both Countries this is significant. This portrait becomes a symphony of "red" interpretations and projection for the viewers to project onto the image, depending on whether they see him with negativity or positivity. Charles is NOT seeing red, nor is he "red faced"...it is each viewer who see's red all around him, yet he stands majesticly firm untouched by the the "red" tides of passion, hate, or hellish environment viewers project onto the color. He's very clearly seen and painted in the "pink" the colors of "rosey health" ( even though he has terminal cancer)...I love the MONARCH butterfly approaching him I'm this world, it is a symbol of rebirth and transformation approaching him...we can interput the majesty of the butterfly in many ways. I like to think of it as his Mom's spirit he carries with him. I love the painting very much. I love how it connects to the Tuxen painting of Victoria...I love how the background and figure become "one"...very symbolic and rich with layers of historical meaning ...love it.
