It was a fire that needed arial support and the winds were too high. Go read an encyclopedia about fire fighting techniques and get back to me. What was actually unimaginable is that the humidity in Malibu was 7% right next to the sea -- that is freakishly low due to the wind blowing all the moisture offshore. Reservoirs on top of the hills for residents use in palisades, palisades higher than city main, need to use gravity. Residents used water to cover grass and houses. Drawing from hill top reservoirs, draining them a bit. Firefighters came to use the reservoir, they used it all. Not enough pressure in lines and main to use hydrants. Management failure, multiple factors

In ASL, magnitude and severity of the situation is expressed through facial expressions and size of sign space. That’s why it looks intense. Because it’s an intense situation. Also, if you listen to what the people are saying, it’s a lot of thanking different states, countries, and organisations for helping them in this situation. And warning people to listen to evacuation orders. So there was a lot of repeated words and therefore repeated signs. I understood all the signing. The team did a good job. Likely most Deaf or Hard of Hearing who saw this and know ASL would understand.

I know some ASL, he was doing it right. Because TV interpreters have to keep up with what’s being said, they have to sign faster and sometimes skip a word or phrase here and there.

@@shallyjoseph3690 have you heard of the Santa Ana winds? They are hurricane force winds minus any moisture. They spread fires incredibly fast and make them very hard to contain. It could’ve been a small grass fire on the side of the road from a cigarette butt or car accident. Then, the wind fuels and spreads the fire until it’s completely out of control. So even though it’s not super hot, it is still VERY dry and windy!

California suffers from fire devastation every year!. Why not stop building traditional wooden homes and instead construct homes primarily out of concrete and brick? These materials are significantly more resistant to fire, help prevent the spread of fires, and provide better protection against damage caused by wildfires.
