I kept my granddaughter home from school to be able to experience this once in a lifetime for me as I'm 63 and Ami's 7. She was amazed at how it looked and I'll remember it till I'm gone. Great day ❤

Greetings everyone. I am dwelling on a small island in the Caribbean and i never saw the eclipse, i waited from sunrise to sunset and never see nothing. Today was normal with very bright sunshine. I saw one somewhere in the 1980s but i can't remember what year, when the reall lost all its lights for than 20 minutes, i was a bit young but was already working, today was real hot sun. I never see that eclipse!!

My answer to flat earthers is 1. Every planet in the sky you can see with a telescope is a sphere and 2 any celestial body with gravity is a sphere because if gravity is pushing on all sides with the same force on an object the obvious shape is a sphere.

It is interesting that when “solar eclipse” happens the moon never gets closer to us (bigger) or farther from us (smaller) and closer to the sun... it is interesting that every time the moon appears to be prrfectly the same size as the sun... but we know that there are times when either the sun or the moon appears larger or even smaller than usual - i.e. closer or further away from the earth, but never when a solar eclipse occurs. 🤔How would you explain this?
@InstantLeprosy
@InstantLeprosy Ай бұрын
"but we know that there are times when either the sun or the moon appears larger or even smaller than usual - i.e. closer or further away from the earth, but never when a solar eclipse occurs. How would you explain this?" I explain it that you didn't pay attention in science class. Total eclipses are rare - most are partial or anular - ie the moon is too small to cover the entire sun and even though it is directly in front of the sun, totality is not achieved.
