Just had the creo out for a week on demo. Blew me away. Very happy with the 1.1 motor.

Thanks for posting the very informative video. You're doing real world testing with honest feedback & side to side comparisons in clear view, to really illustrate the pros/cons of this platform. I regularly ride both more recent Bosche & Specialized mid-drives & I'm partial to Bosche for the reasons you mention. I really like the way you tune the application specifically for what you're riding. It's obvious you guys ride some challenging rocky terrain!

I have been waiting for a direct comparison (riding) from Specialized motor vs bosch and here you did it..probably add description on your title, will help lots more people. Thanks

Another great review in a long list thereof... I always enjoy your reviews because they are straightforward and helpful-- in this case it reinforces that my 2019 Turbo Levo Expert is the right bike for me. The weight savings is not worth it on the SL. I'm certain the std levo is more versatile. I love having more torque! 90Nm is better than 35Nm. Maybe you could publish a video with a table that captures the weight to horsepower / torque ratios for the various eMTBs on the market?

This is exactly what I would need for my local trails. But the price... IMHO it should be cheaper. I stay with mu levo. Good review! Thanks! 👍

James Goodsell has a 2021 Specialized Levo comp and has a KZbin channel. Only had it a few weeks and had water inside the charging port. After a wet ride . Also the the bike was cycling on and off without touching the button.

I'd much prefer a bike that gave me the option to use a throttle wither with or in place of PAS.

EMTB Videos do you think the downsizing is the future or just another option?
@abelramos86524 жыл бұрын
EMTB Videos the problem is that SL isnt that light. Ezesty is much lighter and the new Fazua upgrade software works very well! Also way cheaper

Thank you for this. Whether this motor has enough power to get up steep hills is the number one interest that I have in this motor and the Specialized Vado SL. From your video it clearly not have enough power - the hill it 'failed' getting up is mild looking compared to the numerous steep and often long hills that I have in Swansea, South Wales. It is a shame as I like the look of the Specialized Vado SL but it clearly is incapable of coping with steep hills - which is the main reason why I am now looking to buy an e-bike.

@@EMTBVideos Thank you for replying. So, by cadence, you are saying that as long as you are putting in a lot of effort - pushing the pedals - that it will get up steep hills? It's probably still not for me as I basically want to take as much effort out of hill-climbing as is possible now. As I have lots of hills I will often be stopping and starting on a hill which, again from your video, it does not appear to be good at. Really helpful video. Thanks again for replying.

@@EMTBVideos Thanks again for replying. I will try to get a test ride on one once the lock-down is over. I suspect, from what you say, it is not the bike for me - which is a shame. Buts thanks very much for explaining and for your excellent video.

You cannot compare the Specialized SL 1.1 fairly with other mid-drive motors. It has no zero cadence support. For this reason, the motor is not suitable for my Maxun One solar bike.

Unr3aLpm: Overpriced compared to what?
@lazurm2 жыл бұрын
@@JustEnjoyingLife73 There is competition and they, too, are highly priced. Still, price has many reasons but demand is a big one as you seemed to allude to. Note, also, that your expressed reason isn't the "only" reason for its price as there are features on this bicycle that are more expensive than most other, lower priced, bicycles (its motor, the carbon frame, the wheels, etc.). As such, in a broad sense, one should expect that this bicycle will be more expensive than other bicycles without these features.
@lazurm2 жыл бұрын
@@JustEnjoyingLife73 I agree with you in general but I was simply stating that you use the word "only" in a way that is inaccurate as in the last sentence of your previous reply. I think other reasons "we" pay these prices are: because one may afford to, because one wants the features in the combination that can't be found elsewhere for less of a price, because one has the credit and feels that this purchase falls well within their needs at the time... I really can go on listing a great many reasons for one's buying motivations. Hopefully you got my point which tries to appeal to one's open mindedness when it comes to human decisions, motivations and prices.
