Apple Bar Orchard is a family-owned and operated orchard that grows juicy haskaps (honeyberries), dwarf sour cherries, currants, aronias, saskatoons, apples, and pears. Their fruit is sold fresh or frozen to local farmers markets and consumers.

Montana's economy is primarily driven by agriculture, including our not so commonly known specialty crops. Specialty crops can be defined as fruits, vegetables, peas and lentils, dried fruits, horticulture, and nursery crops. The Montana Department of Agriculture Food and Ag Development team set out to highlight the different specialty crop producers that play a great role in the diversity of our state's agriculture. May these crops, businesses, and stories shed light on the vast landscape that is the Montana agriculture industry.
