I can’t really say honestly. Winter is tougher fishing for saltwater. Red and flounder move out to the gulf. Trout are still around but usually in deeper waters by then. December is a good time to catch sheeps. Free line shrimp around piers and jetties.

Yes bro, the summer is always the best time to catch trout in the surf. People are catching monster trout at 61st pier at night time. They caught a 32” speck a few nights ago. They have a Facebook and an Instagram page you can follow to see what’s being caught.

Why would you not throw a paddle tail or an artificial shrimp when the fish are that abundant. Messing around with live bait for what reason.

I really got the shrimp to try and catch pompano. when we showed up the specks were being caught, and they were all solid fish being pulled out. Then my buddy started hooking up with sheeps, so I just went with the flow. Why go against the grain? 🤷🏻‍♂️
